    Not sure if anyone's still following this, but it looks like the mod "Beasts of Tamriel" has finally implemented these whales.  I highly recommend checking it out!

    Waaaay late to this, but how much effort would it be to just add them off into the distance performing the occasional breach? Just script some simple animations where you see one hit the surface, release air and dip back down, maybe with a tail slap. Other times see them barrel roll where you just see a side fin raise up and slap back down into the water. Nothing too much, just some atmospheric elements, which again would be kept at a distance to maintain the illusion of whale activity, even though the models may just be stationary and right at the surface doing randomized breaching animations every so often.

    I'd like a DL for this whale. I'm new at working with animations and the swimming motion of whales would be a good work base! Maybe go as far as doing a full mod, though not sure how to do AI yet.

      You could always rig a horker skeleton to it.

      Sorry about late reply. No DL that I know of. I would try, but I don't have the resources. I guess there will never be whales in Skyrim....

      I know I'm late on this, but what about the swimming animation for a ice wraith or the swimming dragons from Dawnguard? You'd have to customize a lot, but the basic motions might be there? Just a thought.

    This needs to be a thing. If someone did this they would have the only whale mod for Skyrim. Nothing fancy, just put it in and make it slowly swim around. In-fact someone tell me how to use this and what should i download to animate this. Idk how to make mods but im tired of waiting for someone else at this point.... I'LL rig it to a horker skeleton if i have to. lol
