I don't have any major problems with ENBs at top performance, no freezes or hangs. The only little problem is the duration of my loadscreen. Instead of instant loading, it takes like 10 seconds not really a problem xD
I think folks place a little too much value on their fps counters. Do they really need to be running at 60-70 ALL THE TIME? I lose fps with an ENB enabled, I never notice I've lost fps unless that bloody silly clock is up in the top left corner telling me I have. Unless it turns yer game into an stuttering unstable, unplayable, gibbering mess it's a worthy sacrifice to make.
I mean after all, Skyrim without Synergy? I'd rather cut my ear's off.
Man if people can run an ENB maxed out with all effects on 60fps they must either have a very good video card (ie a 680 or 690) or play with no texture mods with a low resolution.
At 1080P with a GTX 580, I still get 20fps loss using some of the more visual enhancing ENB's.

@Otrera79 The blur comes from DOF(depth of field) effects which can be turned off or tuned down.
