About this image

The journey through the snow was an adventure. Where I am from we had no snow, we had hail the size of my fist and dirty water that pretended to be snow. The snow here reached up my calves and gave me near zero visibility. My boots weren't built for it so I was soon cursing the cold even as I enjoyed kicking up to watch the snowflakes danced in the light. Still it was beautiful and didn't smell of pollution like the snow of my home world. The path was pretty straight forwards which I was grateful for. I still had no map and very little supplies other than my magic, my dagger and the clothes I was wearing.

But when that temple...fort...Keep? came into view my breath was caught in my throat. Massive and proud a monument that withstood time and its environment. Not evening the drunken dancing light I'd summoned could take away from that beauty. Decorative arches begged to be examined, and the way I saw it the the Barrow was built into the very mountain side. As my weariness of the travel was replaced with giddy excitement that I'd soon be exploring this ancient wonder I had to remind myself that there would be bandits littering the interior and one of them would have my prize.

Still, a little scholarly pursuit never hurt anyone.

I didn't realized the lens flare until I was looking through my images which I was pleasantly pleased with. Role playing this character is so much fun. My poor Raquel is more of a scholar than she is an explorer and fighter and she has no idea just how much questing and killing is a big part of Skyrim.
