   Transport for Skyrim (TfS) answer:
   
   Probably about 4E206. In the meantime, here is the quuckest way to get to Solitude:
   
   1. Walk from Markarth to Kolskeggr Mine (15 mins)
   2. Take the Ivarstead Line (dark blue) northbound to Bthardamz (3 mins)
   3. Take the Dovah line (maroon) eastbound to Chillwind Depths (12 mins)
   4. Take the Haafingar line (silver) northbound to Dragon Bridge (4 mins)
   5. Take a carriage from Dragon Bridge to Solitude (4 mins)

   That's must be what our "fast travel" is all about. We just travelled using some secret underground train system! Those of you living in cities with a subway system, thank your deity of choice. There are cities like where I live, that desperately need a subway system, and don't have one.
