Article about The New Serana

BEFORE YOU START:

This is a manual process, you cannot use NMM to customize Serana’s textures. You will also need something like WINRAR to open archives.

You also need to know that I have used
Navetsea’ 1_9 Body Texture for UNP and Vanilla
Navetsea’s Face Texture
Coverwomen’s Eyebrows
Women of Skyrim’s Normal Maps

1)Download MANUALLY (you cannot use NMM for this) the textures you want to replace. Open up the WINRAR. Click open the folders until you get to texture files. Look at the screenshot below to see how I have located the face textures I want to replace.



2) Highlight over these files, right click on them to get a list. Click on the option ‘Extract to Specified Folder’ to get a popup with a whole list of folders.


3)Click these folders in order to reach my custom textures:
For 34-bit users Computer/ OS (C: )/ Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/common/skyrim/Data/textures/actors/character/seranabody
For 64-bit user Computer/ OS (C: )/ Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/skyrim/Data/textures/actors/character/seranabody


4)Now, open you’re (OS:) and click open the folders in the same order to get this:


5)Then, once you have cut them out, go back to the main Seranabody folder to paste your textures to replace mine. If you want to replace yellow eye texture, you need to rename your file to mjbhumanbrownyellowbright


You are done! Delete the folder that you’ve just cut out your textures out, because it has no more purpose.


NOTE THAT

• If you replace the face textures, the beauty marks on Serana’s face will disappear.
• Make sure that YOUR BODY TEXTURE MATCHES YOUR BODY MESH. Ie) CBBE skin will look overstretched on an UNP body and vice versa.
• You won’t get custom vampire eye textures for Serana because I didn’t set any for her in the mod. That means whatever eye textures you use for general vampires that you regularly install will be HERS aswell.
• No need to replace body meshes because there are none that I set for convenience sake.
