In the Coin Purse Gems description/readme, I said: "Generally, I recommend using Coin Purse Gems and removing Harvest Overhaul's coin purse handling from your Bashed Patch." So, how does one do that? Here are the steps to do it.

For this guide, you will need one tool: TES5Edit.

  • Load your Bashed Patch in TES5Edit.
  • Under Leveled Items, find the following records:
    CoinPurseGoldSmall (Form id:000D790B)
    CoinPurseGoldMedium (Form id:000D8E7D)
    CoinPurseGoldLarge (Form id:000D8E7E)
  • In each of those records, you will find 8 leveled list entries added by Harvest Overhaul. They all start with "zHOCoinPurseGem," such as "zHOCoinPurseGemRegularA."
  • For each "zHOCoinPurseGem" entry, find the "Leveled List Entry" row, a few rows above the ""zHOCoinPurseGem" row. Right click on this row and click "Remove." (You can also click on the "Leveled List Entry" row and press the Delete key on your keyboard.) Repeat this step for each "zHOCoinPurseGem" on all three of the records listed above.
  • Close TES5Edit; this brings up the Save Changed Files window. Make sure Bashed Patch, 0.esp is checked. Also make sure "Backup plugins" is checked at the bottom of the window. Click OK at the bottom of the window.

That will remove the necessary coin purse related entries of Harvest Overhaul from your Bashed Patch. Remember that after doing this, the coin purse related settings in Harvest Overhaul's MCM menu will have no effect on your game.

If you make a mistake by deleting an entry you wanted to keep, just close TES5Edit and uncheck "Bashed Patch, 0.esp" at the Save Changed Files window. That will prevent any changes from being saved and you can load the file again in TES5Edit to try again. If "Backup plugins" is checked when saving, TES5Edit will make a copy of the unedited file that you can restore as well.
