Q: Does Legacy Support Wyrmstooth V1.17a or V1.17b found on ModDB or Internet archive? Jonx0r posted an update!
A: First of all, no he didn't, it is a poser. The mod on ModDB was pulled at his request because the person posting it was not him. Jonx0r is GONE and Wyrmstooth is NO LONGER SUPPORTED. Legacy will still work for V1.17x but no displays for new items will be added. Additionally, the SSE version of Legacy DOES NOT support the Wyrmstooth version available for it as it re-rolled all of its forms and therefore is not compatible.

Q: The lockbox in Silent Moons Camp is missing, how can I get it?
A: Stop using meta knowledge of past play-throughs of Legacy, things have changed. Once you do the initial museum artifact hunt quests, they will lead to the lock box (5th item to find), or if you use the LAL Relic Hunter or Relic Hunter Guildmaster start options, the box will appear earlier.

Q: I am using the LAL Relic Hunter start but never get "An interesting prospect" quest.
A: You aren't supposed to, you already are a member of the museum with the LAL start, you get "Dragonborn Gallery" quest instead.

Q: Are you going to port Legacy to SSE?
A: Eventually, yes. After SKSE64 is available. (It is now available)

Q: Is there a torrent or mirror site to download from? I have a crappy internet connection and can't download this through nexus.
A: No. There is no torrent because I do not trust that quality control or
security can be maintained via a torrent. There used to be a MediaFire
mirror, but those morons took away their resume download feature,
defeating it's entire purpose sadly. Some browsers have plugins which
can be used to resume downloads, so I would research that.

Q: Why is there no NMM download option? Can you change that?
A: No, I cannot and will not add NMM download support because NMM does not work
properly for large multi-volume mods. If you download and install each
of the packs through NMM it will drop files from the packs and the mod
will not function properly. It also will not install from multiple
volumes properly without dropping files. So you MUST download them
manually and unpack the files into one folder where you can easily
install from.

Q: The crafting stations don't loot supplies like they used to.
A: Craftloot system is now disabled by default to avoid the replica station from storing your supplies prior to having safehouse access. You can enable this in the MCM configuration menu.

Q: The FINDERS KEEPERS quest doesn't show a map marker or quest marker on where I should go.
A: Check Solsthiem, or the item is behind a door that blocks quest markers

Q: My Anti Virus program keeps warning me/removing DBM_Utils.dll, what should I do?
A: This file is the custom SKSE plugin which handles the museum's persistent display feature which lets you share displays from one playthrough to another. Simply tell your antivirus program to allow it/ignore it.

Q: The backdrop of the Jewelry case appears to be missing it's texture.
A: No it isn't. Does it look flat shiny purple to you? No? Then it's working just fine. It has a blue (clearly textured) backdrop now so the amulets stand out better.

Q: The display for X doesn't take the replica.
A: Make sure to store the original in a chest somewhere or drop it before trying to display the replica. The display will ignore ALL options if you have the original equipped or favoriated.

Q: When I use the scribe's desk in the library it locks my horizontal view after leaving.
A: Known issue, trying to find a solution for it. Simply jump and toggle first and third person views and it unlocks. Not sure what causes it.

Q: I use FNIS/XPMSE or any other animation mods. Will Legacy have any issues?
A: You can test if your setup will conflict with Legacy or not by following these steps to test it in game:

-start the game, at the main menu console COC SILENTMOONSCAMP01
-TGM to god mode.
-SETSTAGE DBM_EXPLORERGUILDMEMBERS 100
-Find the archaeology dig site behind the locked door by the ladder leading up
-PLAYER.ADDITEM 000e3c16 1
-use the dig site

If the animation plays properly, gives you fragments and exits again giving you back full control of your character and your inventory, map, etc, your setup should be fine. If you get stuck in permanent mining mode, or your controls lock up after, there is a conflict somewhere.

Q: A display will not accept items such as Torygg's war horn, Balgruuf's greatsword, pest poison, wylandriah's soul stone, etc.
A: You must make a REPLICA of these items because these are quest turn in items and you cannot display the original because you need that item for the quest.

Q: Can I install Legacy mid playthrough? Will I miss out on anything?
A: Yes you can install it mid play, but it's recommended as a start of game mod selection because of some one chance only items that you would otherwise miss. Also any quest turn in items completed before Legacy is installed will not be able to be replicated with the replica system, and Legacy observes the original coming to you in order to create a replica. These will have to be consoled in.

Q: I emptied the museum before doing an update to a newer version and some displays stayed behind, but I have the item. I can't remove it or replace the item.
A: Simply open console, click the display item, type DISABLE. You will then be able to manually place or sort the item in your updated version.

Q: If I am using a mod that is listed as merged with legacy, should I uninstall the original mod?
A: Yes

Q: Do I need a patch for mods listed as "supported mods".
A: No, Legacy has self patching capabilities when you have the supported mod loaded.

Q: There are a lot of Mesh/Texture override conflicts between Legacy and other mods, which file should I use?
A: It is safe to allow all other mods to overwrite legacy content. Many of these overwrites are from commonly used resources, and some are vanilla resources that needed to be repacked because of how certain elements are build, but are safe to overwrite.

Q: There is a wall blocking the museum entrance.
A: You have a mod loaded after legacy which has a dirty edit of that wall. Find it and move it before legacy in your load order or move legacy lower in the load order.

Q: Will this work with "Unique Uniques", "Unique Models for Unique Weapons" or other model replacement mods?
A: Yes, As of V14.0 Legacy has support for several model replacement mods
and allows you to in game select the appearance of specific weapons
after they are displayed. Best method is to manage the other mod's BSA
with your mod manager or just extract the meshes into their default
folders but not run the ESP.

Q: Moonpath's and Book Covers Skyrim needed patches on their own but they are integrated in Legacy, what do I do?
A: Moonpath does not need any patches in legacy because I reverted the Dead Man's Drink Inn back to Vanilla and moved the wagon outside. Book Covers Skyrim has a patch pack available on the Legacy page to download.

Q: Auryen isn't giving me any rewards and I haven't been given the sword of ancient tongues by him.
A: Sometimes the update timer malfunctions for some people for whatever reason. Use the console and enter SET DBM_REWARDDELAY TO 0 and wait 24 hours. Auryen should then greet you and it should work from there out.

Q: The secret door to the safehouse from the hall of secrets is unlocked, this must be a mistake.
A: Nope, it's meant to be that way. Auyren doesn't know about the hall of secrets or the secret door to the safe house. A thief or assassin type character can and would sneak in and that's why it's left that way.

Q: Is it safe to upgrade from V14 to V15?
A: Yes as long as you complete the script cleaning process, your save game should remain intact. You CANNOT however upgrade from any version prior to V14.

Q: What does the book returns container in the library do?
A: Any book dropped in the sort chest in the safehouse goes there. No other greater function, just to sort journals and notes out and drop books closer to the shelves so you can put them there

Q: Certain displays don't have an activator to display an item. Is this a bug? 
A: No, items such As the soul gem stars, gold brand/eltonbrand, red eagle's swords, etc. are artifacts you only get one choice between one reward or another and the display activator will enable when you enter the hall with it, or when the item is sorted by the prep station

Q: Whenever I use a craft station in the safe house, it takes all my materials and stores them, how can I prevent this?
A: Use the supply sorter and turn OFF sorting for any material type you do not want to have added or removed from storage duyring sorting or crafting

Q: How do I use the display safe, prep stations, etc?
A: Prep station displays 1 of every displayable item automatically which you have in your inventory and stores it, it will ignore equipped items, favorite items and items already on display. It will also display replicas before displaying originals. The safe will allow you to empty the museum. Displays themselves can be placed and removed manually. using the safe to remove items is only recommended for extreme troubleshooting issues and requires you to walk the museum and manually remove remaining items after.

Q: Does this work with Perkus Makimus (PerMa)?
A: Yes and No. The only feature which does not work properly is that reforged and warforged items will not display in the museum in their original vanilla item spot. PerMa uses XML extensions to execute these reforged items and I am not familliar with it, so until I figure out how to, I cannot patch it. That said, there should not be anything game breaking.

Q: Where is the museum?
A: It is inside the city of Solitude, just outside the Blue Palace courtyard on the right side as you approach the palace from town.

Q: Where is the display safe?
A: Behind the curator's desk in the library, inside the cabinet, behind the false pannel (where the clothes are hanging up when you first open it)

Q: Where is the apartment/safehouse? I can't find it.
A: Stand facing the door to the armory and turn to the right. Look for a "loose block" along the right side to open the wall.

Q: Where is X item located?
A: See the Full player's guide

Q: Will this conflict with other mods?
A: See the incompatibility list on the description page.

Q: What if I lost X item or completed X quest before installing this mod? how do I get X item back?
A: Use the console and type: COC DBM_UTILITY2 this will get you to a small room with the relics. Take only what you need to replace from the containers, and then use COC DBM_DGHALLOFHEROES to return to the museum.

Q: Can you add/make/include my idea?
A: In the past I have entertained and implemented almost every good idea posed to me. However, now I near the completion of Legacy and will no longer actively work to include new content. Feel free to voice it and I may still take note of it for the future, but right now, I am up to my eyeballs.

Q: Is this compatible with USKP, USLEEP or SkyRe or Reproccer?
A: USKP and USLEEP changes are carried forward, so yes, the others are with a patch and a little manual XML configuring on your part.

Q: Where do I start the "shattered legacy quest line?"
A: Once you have 225+ items in the museum Auryen will give you the sword of ancient tongues. Once this happens "Byron" will be looking for you in the exterior world  which will begin the quest line.
