Fenn has a secret identity as the Thistle King, one of Fey. He is based on the character Puck from Midsummers Night Dream by Shakespeare.
Its complicated as most of my lore is - but basically Fenrir needed a more powerful form with all his memories so Fenrir created The Thistle King. Originally Fenrir took that form when he needed access to his memories and power - hence it was an alter ego to Fenn. But now that Fenn is on his own the Thistle King is Fenrirs main identity in Skyrim.
It is just a fun way to explore a more fantasy aspect to Skyrim as well.
Great works altogether, beautiful nature shots.
The idea of the Thistle King is just great and to see him playing and chatting with a part of his own soul (hope I got that correct in mind) makes this set truly a piece of High Fantasy.
Aye ... I am still trying to decide the best approach here. I haven't locked anything down in my mind.
EDIT: Reached some decisions
I simply can't play a character as Fenrir. He is a semi-deity. He is also someone I could never be. While he is very smart he is also cunning. While he loves and cares for those under his protection he can also be violent and aggressive. He is both a creature of nature and divinity. He is the savage predator, an alpha wolf. He is also the concept of the totem animal guide - a wise wolf who protects the land and its creatures.
Fenn, on the other hand, is intelligent, charming, dislikes confrontation and prefers diplomacy to violence if its an option. He is closer to my own personality and hence I can connect and see him as a projection of myself in the game.
So while it is okay to start him off as Fenrir initially, just like Fallout, it can't stay that way. I prefer Fenn to be an agent of Fenrir (something I would also like to be in my fantasy day dreams) and his sometime avatar - meaning if Fenrir needs a mortal body he will possess a willing Fenn.
I also want the little wolf to be a companion for Fenn so I suspect that Fenrir will instead simply hide in his disguise as the Thistle King for now and perhaps keep an eye on Fenn and others through the mind and body of the wolf pup (sharing the wolves mind as a sometimes passive visitor or perhaps in an extreme emergency taking control).
Lovely little tale around Fenn's mischief in Whiterun as well Jon. Super hyped for more Fenn and wolf adventures.
