Thanks - I tried SE for a while but always come back to Skyrim. Such a beautiful game with the right mods.

Thanks Patrick! FPS, for Skryim and what I am used to, is amazing. Interiors I had to put FPS limiter on in ENB. Exteriors it is a wide range of 24-28 to 40-50. Depends a great deal on where I am. But on the old PC the low-end was 8-14 to 20-25 (which is a mix of things since my old PC was also powerful but I think it had memory/CPU/GPU conflicts as all the Beth games ran rather crappy on it considering its specs). That seems to be fixed on this PC as both games are running very good.

Very cool. I use an SLI ( 2 GTX 770's) set up and am about in those same ranges. I still get dips and stutters, but nothing to make me want to back anything down. I know it's the game engine mostly.

Thanks! Well I suspect many of us hard-core gamers, especially those around Nexus, have some similar things in common. I suppose it is one reason I like to hang out here

Magnificent gameworld here, looks so clean and beautful!

As a single father with two kids living in poverty - according to the standards of the western world at least - I will probably never be able to get my hands on a rig able to make Skyrim look this fantastic! It's just a marvel to see these shots!

Thanks and glad you liked the shots! It is a very good PC although still not a professional gamers PC like some. Having lived in borderline poverty for many years in the past (although no kids which I know can make it all the more stressful and hard) I often went without a PC or just had a very basic one. I remember many years of counting coins for gas, living on pasta and beans, and living paycheck to paycheck. My family helped now and then when they could but they have never been wealthy either. But through a mix of hard work and luck I have reached a point where I can afford a few luxuries - mainly my jeep, my PC, and my two dogs. Anyhow a bit off topic but just pointing out its only been in the last decade that I can afford a few things like this. I wish everyone could though - the divide in wealth, especially in the US, is only getting worse it seems.

I don't have kids or much family left anymore so its my dogs and gaming that provide a lot of my enjoyment. Not complaining though - its a good life all things considered. But I admit I do like to escape into other worlds and live out my life (as I always play myself in games) as someone else - its a nice way to take a break from the world. Growing up I always used books as my escape. While I still read I find it is also fun to create my adventures now - one thing computer games are great for.

I know what you say completely, Jon. The ability to visit worlds beyond our own, imaginary ones as well filled with the fantasy and lore we love, is a very pleasant break from the ordinary day. I've also always read a lot and since my teen years I've been writing fantasy fiction of some kind. It's a wonderful way to free yourself for a bit and I also roleplay in every aspect I can - although I try tons of different roles. Since I started my small stories here at Nexus, I'm also feeling more and more secured about the use of my English.

I'm glad you're at a point where you can buy things that matters to you. There's sadly a bit of divide in wealth even her in Sweden - yes, the land of solidarity. I'm very down-to-earth myself when it comes to materialism and I haven't really bought much either. As a father though, there's always that itch of a will to make it better for my kids. Life is still long though and we're quite happy as the small family we are, and that what's important.

Thank you for telling this about yourself! Quite encouraging actually!

So did you see a noticeable performance increase with the new rig?
Also those images are damn nice! Makes me want to go back using G&S haha you have a way with making me want to play those presets of yours haha.

    Again fantastic set, Jonathan.

Many thanks Quinten - and yes huge boost in power (I expected some but not nearly as much as I did - came as a bit of a surprise as my last PC was not that old). Overall pleased with the upgrade at least

Was in the neighborhood and wanted to leave a note... things are looking very good here.. I saw your Beast on Flickr... not UN Jealous I am certain things gamewise must be running smooth as silk. everything looks so vivid and clean but then always where your images are concerned! Hard to pick a favorite and not because I am being lazy.. seriously, they all are beautiful. Glad there were no installation issues! Great work Grim J

Thanks for stopping by Ameven! I suppose my images are easy to spot since I tend to use the same group of ENB presets 90% of the time. I have just grown to associate them with the style of Skyrim that I like.

Overall things are running great - it was finally a nice upgrade computer power wise in all areas. I suspect I am pushing my Skyrim mods too far again today but I have just 3 left to install and then will see if the game is stable or if I went too far. If too far will remove the last 20 or so I added as things were good up to then. Hoping I can fit them in though

      Cheers and thanks again!
