A lot late to the party and your peaceful images.
Hope you had some fine days.

Oh, and you got snow. Wonderful. Even can't imagine how it looks like in reality.

I have lots of images of my dogs, current and past - all have been Sheps, 4 total. My personal Flickr album is open (nothing special to see there really except the dogs and personal stuff I link to for friends and family who don't game or use the net much):

      https://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfgrimdark/albums/72157637954841486/page3

Just ignore ... well the personal crap lol. The most current shots of Grim and Mila are on the third page of the album since it sorts oldest to newest for some reason.

My other dogs were Glacier (she was an all white female shepherd) and my very special buddy who I still miss a lot, Wolfgar (who passed away 5 years ago), who Grim's half-brother in my stories of Grim is named after. He was a hard luck case who had two hip surgeries at a year old and a year of physical therapy ... we were very close and he was so loyal. He developed a degenerative nerve disease when he was 10 and had to put him down. But will never forget him as he was a true blue trooper and my best friend to the end.

No worries on response or flickr - just was tossing it out there since its a public account (no Flickr account needed) if curious. Aye Glacier and Wolfgar passed away a while ago. The down side to having dogs are the short life spans. Still wouldn't trade the experience - adore how loyal and sweet dogs can be.

Many thanks Nataly. I would say that main image took place about a year after the events currently taking place in his story and he is perhaps more quiet but content.

Hope you get to spend some time with those you care for and have a good New Year and winter. I am spending mine with the dogs and my friends online.

these are absolutely wonderful images with a pure peaceful atmosphere... took me into a relaxing mood
aww your buddies are really cute snow is really fun for animals (if they have a warm home to go after playing)... I have cats and when I had a garden, they always jumped into the air and tried to catch the snow flakes... I loved that
I wish you a great time and a merry christmas, Jon
... keep calm with your less prefering visits, remember, it's only a few hours

Thanks Tanja! Most likely I will be home as my Mom said she would understand - its just not a good year to visit for many reasons.

Just to mention on your other post - aye the sacrifices are one of the big downsides of most pagan religions. But considering the way the animal agriculture is in the modern world it pales in comparison. At least people back in those days were far more bonded to nature and animals in general. I play a werewolf and expert hunter (Grim) but am mostly vegetarian myself so totally at odds with my character in that regard.

Anyhow that aspect of many ancient religions is one of the darker undersides and one issue with religions in general because once people think something needs to be done to prove ones faith things start to go down hill ... would be nice if instead of negative things like that people had to prove faith by doing all kinds of good deeds

Is there ever a time when a dog is happier than when they run around in the fresh snow? Hopefully, there is some time off of work with the Christmas season

Probably not - at least all the dogs I have had go apeshit over the snow

I get 11 days off for xmas - a plus of working at a University. Will be hell when I get back but plan on enjoying these 11 days at least!
