Wow, Lydia is quite the writer, isn't she?!

I absolutely adored the ghastly mood of her story, superbly told with your excellent narrative and very fitting grey and gloomy images. If one would have a guess, one would say Lydia has read quite a lot of Edgar Allan Poe or even master Lovecraft himself - the atmosphere is very similar with a great tension of horror behind every thought.

The whole fun part of this idea with Lydia as an aspiring author with wishes of being a Dragonborn herself is a great build-up too, but a part of me actually wanted dear Lydia to finish her story instead of letting her mind disrupt her...

A very gothic-themed set indeed - I loved your descriptions of the atmosphere - with great creativity and quality writing as well as humor...

Well, a bored mind can come up with the wildest idea, so it seems...
I really wanted to write something wacky, at the same time paying a homage of a sort to the genre of Gothic fiction, with all its cliche imagery, plot twists, and Darky McDarkdark kind of characters. It was very fun to write, so I'm glad it was bearable to read.
      Thank you for your comment!

A fun and whimsical tale. Your style of humor is among my own favorites (more dry) and probably no surprise that besides Terry another favorite writer for humor was Douglas Adams. You also caught me off guard as I had not expected it to be incorporated into your main story - but it was a clever way to do it and added a nice little surprise at the end.

The writing and shots added to that "gentlemen's club" feeling - of the well to do and a certain old-style of writing where the biggest concerns were bad taste and poorly made tea. Enjoyed the whole story and thought it was a nice break from the darker writing.

Haha, so glad you liked it! I was aiming for something more in the style of P.G.Wodehouse (while writing the character profiles I couldn't get the image of sir Jasper ffinch-ffarowmere out of my head), but Douglas Adams has also a special place in my heart, right on the sci-fi shelf, next to Stanisław Lem.
      Thank you for your comment!

This story is brilliantly written again ....all very mysterious and tensing together with the b/w pics and then the change ....sitting in a warm chamber and let`s rule the fantasy

It is always a joy to read your storys. You have always the feeling for tensing situations and one moment before it will become too much cliche, you make a turn and we see you humour... I like it

Thank you very much! Yes, usually I try not to go overly cliche with the stories, at least on the level of actual narrative, but this time I had a very fun ride on the infamous horse of camp
Thanks again, glad you liked the story!

What a wonderful imagination you have, transposed by Lydia's boredom who is stuck in Breezehome, dreaming of adventures. Much more I could say, I'll simply add the characters are excellent as for the humour

Well done Kayol la Polonaise, bardzo przekonujące historia
