Beautiful work!
Happy New Year to you as well!
The problem is, I had to make Saga a bit insane. As I wrote in responce to Anataron's comment, she (and her merry band) became too... comfortable in their roles. She started to understand how to be a leader (vide the Embassy mission, woodcutter's axe incident, etc.), how to take responsibility (this whole Dragonborn business), how to sustain a relationship (Larkspur, and oh my gods, why am I using brackets all the time). It was time to crush this little world of hers. After all, joining the Brotherhood was the first decision she's ever made on her own, without the influence of her parents (remember her father? oh, hello, brackets) or grandmother. It is only natural she would feel the need to go back to it. Not to mention these dreams she had, the dreams which were meant to lure her as well as threaten - at least that's what I was aiming for.
Can't help but notice you're a wee bit bitter about Saga's choice I understand it completely. But I have to stay true to her character - and she is no noble Dragonborn. I would call her... well, Lawful Evil and a bit naive when it comes to her beliefs. We can only hope she'll learn her lesson.
Thank you for your comment!
I would even say I agree with the idea that Sithis, if you equate It with neutral death, is the ultimate source of justice as you wrote to Alexi. Sithis isn't evil in lore from what I understand. It is the taint of the DB that says that. Sithis is a reflection of Padomay who is chaos and destruction. Which can seem evil at times but is just the other side of the coin for order and stability. I am a huge fan of Lorkhan myself who was created by Sithis. Of course one reason I am such a fan is Lorkhan is a rebel son - he did do what he was meant to by creating limits on the Aedra and making them mortal. But he also rebelled and fell in love with his creation - Nirn. In the end it seemed like he choose life and enlightenment over the void and death. Of course that is dependent on the idea that there is life after death which Skyrim/TES has the advantage of having.
Anyhow not bitter although perhaps disappointed. Less in following Sithis as an entity of chaos but more in following the Nightmother and the DB. She is going down a dark road so I am losing my connection to her - I no longer feel that sense of bonding and sympathy, that empathy, with her as a character that ties me to her story. But that is just personal preference. The writing and images are still topnotch and your character development is excellent. You really should be a writer - you are one of the best I have read here.
I can only ask you - and other readers as well - to bear with me and Saga for a time being. There is a method to this madness, I swear. Despite not having much time right now I thought about this storyline, and hopefully, it will turn out as I wish it to. So don't worry, as Colin Mochrie once said, 'I... kinda... know what I'm doing!'
By the way, it's really impressive how well-versed you are in the TES lore, you know? I always mess up some facts, maybe due to my studies: I always compare the mythologies of books, movies, and games to our own and then mix them all up. I've got a memory of a goldfish.
Happy New Year!
Also a very happy New Year to you,..
Well, one can say that self analysis is a first step of reaching adulthood Yes, Saga is pretty fresh to this whole Dragonborn business - and not really thrilled about it - and maybe that's why she keeps looking for a way out, this time running back to her Brotherhood, the family she had chosen for herself a long time agon.
Thank you again!
Thank you a lot!
Happy New Year!
Super work Kayol.
Happy 2016!
