About this image
My initial idea for a contribution to Wolfgrimdark's community event did not work out as I was not sure it fit into the larger tale but I really wanted to participate and to express my appreciation and support for all the great work people put into the crafting of tales, it has been wonderful to see all the writing and screen-archery being done for the event. I have not been active as I have wanted to be lately and I am working to catch up on all the tales in the event. The following is a letter of written by my scholar of dark magics, Irundile, sent to Grimulfr Fenrirson to thank him, his friends and allies for the defeat of the undead plague and its source.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings Grimulfr Fenrirson,
You may not know of me but I have followed the happenings in your battle against the undead plague that swept across Skyrim. My name is Irundile and I am a scholar of dark magics. I am not usually the sort to write such letters but I felt I needed to thank you and your friends for ridding the lands of the shadows that threatened them. I am sure you understand the peril of investigating dark mysteries in ancient ruins with the undead unusually organized and relentless, moved by the hands of a shadowy puppeteer. Their defeat means that I can return to my studies with their usual level of risk and for that I am very grateful.
Do make my gratefulness know to your friends, your companions of the beast blood, Erik and Kavel, the wise mage Avrein and the daedra Losti, to the wolf Wolfgar as well as the resourceful rogue Lucia and her watchful guardians Eir and Arnbjorn. And to your allies, to the dragonborn Dannee, her adoptive daughter Sophie and her unusual family. To the vampire Kynthia who risked much to trick the undead, leading to their defeat. To Rhaine, warrior of the light ever vigilant. To the skilled mage Moiraine Sedai and the blade wielding Lan. To the priestess of the wolf Saarh and the brave Caeedhen and Eyvindhir. To the Sly trio of Kathrine, Eleanor and Constance. To the honorable and fierce warrior, Ambrosia who faced many trials. To the enigmatic lady Llinawen, one of the last of the snow elves. To the fearless warrior in gilded armor, Pandora. To Aeron and Freya, defenders of innocents. To the wise leader Auriella. To the fearsome Rosairn. To the hardy and determined Eleanor.
You may wonder how I know the names of those who helped you, I will say that their actions left echoes among the shadows that now retreat from the lands and these echoes can be read if one is attuned to them, how one does so I will not say, a scholar likes to keep some secrets after-all. I have sent some of my research along with this letter, may it be of use if you ever face shadowy foes again. I have also included what I have been told is a fitting treat for Wolfgar.
Sincerely,
Irundile, Scholar and mage

It was very cool to see Grim and other heroes of various authors mentioned! I loved the idea about the echoes of shadows that told her about those heroes and events, since mages like Neloth can hear such whispers and see the unseen. Such mysterious but also logical way to sum up everything.
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!
I did want to highlight the authors that participated through mentioning the contributions of their characters to fighting the threat of the undead plague, good to hear you found it cool. Irundile has studied and practiced magic for a long time so I though it made sense for her to have learned quite the abilities, she could surely have an interesting conversation with Neloth, and I wanted to have that touch of mystery.
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, Nataly
The main image also came out impressive - with her strong and capable pose, hands on her staff, as she looks down with that calm and confident face. The icy snow of the college walls behind her. Nicely done and thanks for adding to the event!
Glad you found the image impressive - she is a capable mage for a scholar and she has had many years to build that confidence, glad that shows in the image. Thanks a bunch, Jonathan, thank you for starting such a great event
Also loved the attention to detail she posses in this Letter; thanking everybody involved and making sure that Grim passes it on aswell as sending copies of her own findings to help him and some treats for Wolfgar! Very well done; Kamikazekossori!
Irundile is one with quite the attention to detail; she wanted to make sure all knew she was grateful and to be of help in some small way in sending her research and she wanted to remain on Wolfgar's good side Thank you very much, Alex
I like that shot also,.. cool character.
Glad you like the shot and find Irundile a cool character as well ^^
