Wonderful and intriguing new chapter, beautifully written! Great shots too!
I am always awed at how you make such beautifully written chapters with descriptions of nature that are poetic that it makes reader feel like he or she is there with heroes... Nice to see heroes having some progress with their investigation and the fact that bandit chief was Tacita ex-legionnaire was a cool surprise!
Aesa story was intriguing one... especially her tactic of stealing, all in hopes that war might slow down. Looks like not only Dragonborn wants peace for Skyrim. I like Aesa, she reminds me of Edrelle a bit due to her sly mind and hopefully she might make another appereance! Thanks to Aesa now the heroes team might have new direction and it was very cunning move to replace those documents of thief. However it was said to see little rebellion that Aesa has faced from her fellow bandits... I guess that mysterious thief doesn't want his identity to be revealed...
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!

I am delighted the writing was beautiful and the shots great in this chapter. You know I like writing those more poetic parts of a tale, I am glad they immerse you in the stories I write. All were glad to have a lead to follow to get some more answers, good to hear that it was a cool surprise that they met one of Tacita's ex-legionnaires, was looking forward to revealing that.

Aesa does try to contribute to peace returning in her own unusual way, having seen what war brings, as the Dragonborn does. I am really glad you like her, you are right that she shares some of Edrelle's traits, one reason why Tacita and Edrelle quickly got along after they met. Aesa is sure to appear again to help her once commander and her friends. Aesa was indeed of great help with the information she gave them. Was unfortunate that some bandits turned against the others as they did, the thief is one to try to cover his tracks howerver he can.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback on the chapter, Nataly

The group sure did not get much respite as they ventured into that fort, makes me happy that you find the shots fit the words so well, Shelley, I try to let the images tell part of the tale among the words, and that it makes you feel as if you standing among the walls of the fort

Quite the incredible chapter ! Bit of a twist that the bandit leader would turn out to be a ex-legionnaire that was under Tacita's command ! But that did play in favor of the group. Honey Stripes sure is one to make quite the entrace hehe! Oh Aesa is a cunning one ! replacing the thief document with old ones..though the Thief also had left her a surprise of his own..turning some of the bandit against her.

Well it seems that Edrelle have gained new allies in this !

    Awesome work my friend !

I am delighted you found this chapter incredible. Glad that revelation about the bandit leader made for a twist. It was a fortunate coincidence that Tacita and Aesa found each other, something the thief they are chasing could not have predicted. Honey Stripes does not miss a chance to make a entrance that is for sure ;-) Aesa and that mysterious thief did try to outwit each other and Aesa was the more cunning despite that nasty surprise of the traitorous bandits.

Aesa is sure to appear again to help out in some way

      Thanks a bunch, Lia ^^

It's been a while since last time I read one of your stories, and now I remember how solid they are, your characters are all so interesting and consistent, the atmosphere so believable and whole, the dialogue objective and the plot is intriguing. I enjoyed reading this.

I'm just wondering what kind of document can possibly bring and end to an unforgiving conflict between sides with colliding natures.

It is great to hear you find my stories so solid, I do try to make my characters interesting and to make sure things are believable and interesting, I am really glad you enjoyed reading this chapter, Montbello Knight

Retrieving the documents was a task general Tulius gave the group before he would agree to join the truce talks with the Stormcloaks mediated by the Greybeards.

I too am so far behind in reading up on many of the great stories here on the Nexus. I feel a bit sad about that, because I would love to give more and better input than just celebrate you for the amazing shots. I know this much though - you probably have the most colourtful language of all here, very vibrant, lush and detailed!

Great work and thank you for your constant endorsements! I really appreciate it!

Can be tough to keep up with the many tales on the nexus. Don't worry too much about that, that you would like to give more input means a lot in and of itself and I am glad you enjoy the shots. I am a person who likes the details in a place or a landscape and I like to write about them, nice to hear that shows.

Thank you, Excellentium, for the kind words and the great scenic shots you share

Nice to see a new story from you Alexi! The opening reminded me that I miss a lot of illusion spells from previous games. Like that Edrelle was cloaking everyone with her magic. I liked how you carefully set everything up. Edrelle walking up as the "traveler" and others in the crew getting into position to back them up should trouble start.

I really was not sure what was going to happen. I can guess, based on your writing style, that there would be little violence but was beginning to wonder just what the thieves would do. Would there be a fight? Where was the leader? Had me guessing. Even when the leader showed up I wasn't sure if they were some new cast member you meant to introduce or something else.

Then the fact that she new Tacita ... well that was extremely unexpected! Also a nice twist to the plot line and story. Noticed the leader is no slouch either - having noticed Dimitri, Elouen, and Jordis! Course she missed the ever elusive Honey Stripes who decided to make a dramatic entrance *grin*

So the thief deceived the bandits and it was a good thing Edrelle did not try to attack the fort in the end - as the thief left and they got more information from Aesa then they would have otherwise - once she revealed her trickery with said thief.

Then another twist in the story - betrayal buy Aesa's own group as some bandits decided gold was more important then loyalty (sadly often the case). A quick scuffle and it was resolved but sadly with the loss of some life. A very interesting tale at the fort you wrote here Alexi - enjoyed the twists and turns. So now off to Winterhold to track the thief some more.

Enjoyed the wonderful shots that made a nice accompaniment to the story as well!

Makes me smile to hear you say so, Jonathan ^^ I do wish they had done a little more with illusion spells in Skyrim. Edrelle's certainly were a great help in their approach to the fort. I like to show that set up that goes into a plan, the way everything falls into place as all get into position, it is something I like to see in other stories, I am glad you liked that part of the chapter.

You do know my writing style well, I don't tend to make things very violent. I really wanted to have people guessing what exactly would happen, whether there would be a fight or not, who exactly the leader of the bandits was. The crew were certainly wondering what would happen as well as they walked into that fort.

I am really glad that you found that revelation that Tacita and Aesa knew each other so unexpected, that it made for a nice twist, was looking forward to seeing how people would react to that twist. Aesa was a scout in Tacita's squad so she is a keen observer to spot that trio. Hehe, Honey Stripes did prove again that few can notices her when she wants to remain hidden, with her playfulness she had to make a dramatic entrance

Edrelle's idea that they attempt to speak to the bandits did end up being wise in their approach to the fort, they would have found little clues otherwise - the group were fortunate that Aesa had done that bit of trickery in following her instincts.

That mysterious thief did leave Aesa a nasty surprise, turning some of the bandits against her with the promise of coin. The traitors did not have the chance to regret their mistake for very long, it was sad that the bandits that had remained loyal lost their lives. I am happy you found this tale so interesting. Edrelle's group will continue to track the thief and Akhaz'iir's will return those documents to Solitude, but their paths will meet again

I am very glad you enjoyed the shots as well, put some time into them

I missed so much of Edrelles's story, it's time to start reading all the former parts. One thing's for sure, your screenshots for the story are impressive, it must have taken a lot of work to get them. Fantastic work, Alexi.

Edrelle will be glad to know you are going to catch up on her tale ^^ Did take quite a bit of work to set up many of the screenshots for this chapter, managing many followers along with the bandits, I am happy you find them impressive. Thanks a bunch, Friffy.

Another interesting twist as the group finds that the bandit leader knows Tacita as her commander from the Legion. Another impressive and shocking entrance from Honey Stripes to give the leader a scare was quite humorous as well. Aesa shows she has a good heart as well with the feelings about the dead Bosmer that she said was one of the better sorts among the group and is also very wise by switching the documents.

But in the end, bandits are bandits and with enough gold they will turn on their leader but the group finds a new ally in Aesa. Excellent read and look forward to the next

Great to hear you think the twist in this chapter interesting, Wadelycan, it was quite a surprise for Tacita and Aesa to have found each other. Honey Stripes could not resist making such an entrance once again, glad it was an amusing one. Aesa does indeed have a good heart, she cares for those she leads and she does have good instincts about those who are making shady dealings, feeling she should switch those documents.

Some of the bandits were easy to sway with the promise of gold, their loyalty quite fleeting. The group did find a great ally in Aesa. I am very glad it was such a read
