I am always awed at how you make such beautifully written chapters with descriptions of nature that are poetic that it makes reader feel like he or she is there with heroes... Nice to see heroes having some progress with their investigation and the fact that bandit chief was Tacita ex-legionnaire was a cool surprise!
Aesa story was intriguing one... especially her tactic of stealing, all in hopes that war might slow down. Looks like not only Dragonborn wants peace for Skyrim. I like Aesa, she reminds me of Edrelle a bit due to her sly mind and hopefully she might make another appereance! Thanks to Aesa now the heroes team might have new direction and it was very cunning move to replace those documents of thief. However it was said to see little rebellion that Aesa has faced from her fellow bandits... I guess that mysterious thief doesn't want his identity to be revealed...
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!
Aesa does try to contribute to peace returning in her own unusual way, having seen what war brings, as the Dragonborn does. I am really glad you like her, you are right that she shares some of Edrelle's traits, one reason why Tacita and Edrelle quickly got along after they met. Aesa is sure to appear again to help her once commander and her friends. Aesa was indeed of great help with the information she gave them. Was unfortunate that some bandits turned against the others as they did, the thief is one to try to cover his tracks howerver he can.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback on the chapter, Nataly
Well it seems that Edrelle have gained new allies in this !
Awesome work my friend !
Aesa is sure to appear again to help out in some way
Thanks a bunch, Lia ^^
I'm just wondering what kind of document can possibly bring and end to an unforgiving conflict between sides with colliding natures.
Retrieving the documents was a task general Tulius gave the group before he would agree to join the truce talks with the Stormcloaks mediated by the Greybeards.
Great work and thank you for your constant endorsements! I really appreciate it!
Thank you, Excellentium, for the kind words and the great scenic shots you share
I really was not sure what was going to happen. I can guess, based on your writing style, that there would be little violence but was beginning to wonder just what the thieves would do. Would there be a fight? Where was the leader? Had me guessing. Even when the leader showed up I wasn't sure if they were some new cast member you meant to introduce or something else.
Then the fact that she new Tacita ... well that was extremely unexpected! Also a nice twist to the plot line and story. Noticed the leader is no slouch either - having noticed Dimitri, Elouen, and Jordis! Course she missed the ever elusive Honey Stripes who decided to make a dramatic entrance *grin*
So the thief deceived the bandits and it was a good thing Edrelle did not try to attack the fort in the end - as the thief left and they got more information from Aesa then they would have otherwise - once she revealed her trickery with said thief.
Then another twist in the story - betrayal buy Aesa's own group as some bandits decided gold was more important then loyalty (sadly often the case). A quick scuffle and it was resolved but sadly with the loss of some life. A very interesting tale at the fort you wrote here Alexi - enjoyed the twists and turns. So now off to Winterhold to track the thief some more.
Enjoyed the wonderful shots that made a nice accompaniment to the story as well!
You do know my writing style well, I don't tend to make things very violent. I really wanted to have people guessing what exactly would happen, whether there would be a fight or not, who exactly the leader of the bandits was. The crew were certainly wondering what would happen as well as they walked into that fort.
I am really glad that you found that revelation that Tacita and Aesa knew each other so unexpected, that it made for a nice twist, was looking forward to seeing how people would react to that twist. Aesa was a scout in Tacita's squad so she is a keen observer to spot that trio. Hehe, Honey Stripes did prove again that few can notices her when she wants to remain hidden, with her playfulness she had to make a dramatic entrance
Edrelle's idea that they attempt to speak to the bandits did end up being wise in their approach to the fort, they would have found little clues otherwise - the group were fortunate that Aesa had done that bit of trickery in following her instincts.
That mysterious thief did leave Aesa a nasty surprise, turning some of the bandits against her with the promise of coin. The traitors did not have the chance to regret their mistake for very long, it was sad that the bandits that had remained loyal lost their lives. I am happy you found this tale so interesting. Edrelle's group will continue to track the thief and Akhaz'iir's will return those documents to Solitude, but their paths will meet again
I am very glad you enjoyed the shots as well, put some time into them
But in the end, bandits are bandits and with enough gold they will turn on their leader but the group finds a new ally in Aesa. Excellent read and look forward to the next
Some of the bandits were easy to sway with the promise of gold, their loyalty quite fleeting. The group did find a great ally in Aesa. I am very glad it was such a read
