And as for the original post of "no one bakes new normals for heads": unlike Tan-space normals which only need a geometry bake at some point if you want it to look good, Ob-space normals are completely dependent on a geometry bake. It must be baked from a hi-poly (probably sculpted in ZBrush or an analog), and it's harder to blend with other normals. The advantage of them is that you don't need to rely on a local per-vertex tangent space data array (as the renderer assumes all vertices have a tanspace data set that's identical with the XYZ facing of the mesh, hence "Object Space"), which in the case of body models, eliminates one potential source of neck/ankle/wrist seams (if the obspace normals are baked properly).
RizZay...... sometimes an artist requires a break from there current endeavor(s) and need to work on other projects. All the while it builds new ideas to use on the work that has been set aside.
