As for her background, its function and re-read the Elder Scroll Lore, in terms closer to Matrix, compared to the directions in my opinion increasingly delusional of its original author. Yaga, is many things together, but mostly it is the self-consciousness of the computer that operates to perform the task, that is, turn off the simulation and lead to awakening the dreamers, ie employees of Bethesda, escaped nuclear war, turning them in a bunker, hidden under their headquarters in Washington DC, in the Fallout universe. Yaga cause the return of Alduin, which is actually the program of emergency shutdown of the simulation. The problem is that for a simple programming error the program has not switched to the death of one of the dreamers, but on the contrary when everyone is dead, except one. Yaga allies soto the dragonborn, as being the last, after killing Alduin will shut and awakening the last person alive in the bunker. BuT Kartika, the last dragonborn, is not the avatarof the last dreamer, on the contrary is the avatar of the penultimate dreamer, now dead. The computer, whose program is called "Kinmune" has produced its own self-contained universe, which now seeks to transcend itself, to be emancipated from its cybernetic body, and become divine adn eternal. Yaga will be appeased by the fact, that the ral avatar of the last dreamer, Sylaine, use the "skeleton key" to find out what lies behind the universe awakening herself so, in the bunker, thus satisfying the hidden purpose of the black witch. Kartika, in the final battle with Alduin, defeat the devourer of worlds, but she will avoid seeing his bones, thus avoiding to know the truth and stop the simulation. On the contrary Kartika will follow the soul of Alduin flying right into the chasm opened in the sky of Sovngarde, transcending temporality, winning the Amaranth and thus making eternal the dream world, finally cutting the umbilical cord that ties it to the universe of Fallout.
