Ah! Thank you Kodlak, sorry to come by at such a late hour. But better late than never as they say.
It seem Koen has fooled Isran. But not completely. Hopefully Koen will delay long enough in Rifter to ease the suspicions of those watching him.
So interestingly dear Kynthia has run into the Blades and now they have observed her absorbing a Dragon soul (Much to everyone's surprise)
Now of course Delphine will start slobbering all over her. Hmmm, if Kynthia gets the bloodlust again might I suggest Delphine? No one will really miss her...
Thank you for the wonderful story Kodlak, will bring a full keg next time!

Sorry for the late arrival my friend. Excellent work!
    Thanks for the link!

hey there Glad you did enjoy the part; and more than happy to link to your work!
Well, I would agree that Delphine wouldn't be missed - but for now I do still Need her for a few things - so not yet.

And I doubt the wannabe blades would agree - so I think at first Kyn has to deal with Delphine in the sense of convincing Delphine to ignore those pointy teeth and blue glowing eyes .. and more importantly to make sense!

As is Kyn has no clue whatsoever what a dragonborn is supposed to be - so I guess despite Delphine's less than friendly nature towards them a visit to the greybeards might be on the plate next

I'm finally caught up on Kynthia's tale and it has been very enjoyable. I most enjoy the timeline that you establish with this entire story and how it has taken so many years to get from the start to this point.

I like how the Blades have been fighting the return of the dragons for a long time before the Dragonborn appears before them. Delphine leading a small group of Blades into battle to continue their sworn duty is far better than in the vanilla game.

We may need to get Kodlak a cure liver potion if he keeps drinking like this

Now I need to go read Synnassa's story.......Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much for taking the Time and catching up to Kynthia's Story. Very happy to hear that you did enjoy it; and liked the timeline.

Glad you did like the Idea of the Blades; and to be honest I think it is just a matter of passing time that Delphine finally decided to gather a few willing fighters. As in the Vanilla Game you basically are presented with a Dragonborn within the first couple of days after Alduins return; at most. (at least if the Player decides to head to whiterun immediately and do the Bleak Falls Quest.)
So even if Delphine would want to build a Force to fight the Dragons she doesn't even have the Time until the "hero" appears. So I think it is a matter of "necesssary" for her in my Story as there was no "hero" to fight the Dragons for several Years.

Ah, he is an old nord; and a werewolf on top He will manage!

Thank you again; and do take your time. Syn is not going anywhere.

Another cool dual chapter with Kynthia and Koen. I like how you ran them in tangent, weaving the two story lines around each other. The dragonborn interaction was unexpected although I know she was supposed to be DB. Still having her get the dragon soul with the hunters around (assume it was Delphine in charge) was interesting. I wonder how Kynthia will handle that in addition to being a vampire. Seems like Molag may have finally gotten himself a Dragonborn.

Koen was great and I like how you handled the whole DG and Isran interaction. Isran was good in that he brought the story but only partially and is suspicious which makes sense. Luckily Koen has a plan to deal with this.

But Kyn is still in deep with the vampire, perhaps more so since she got drunk on the vampire blood she is going to be more likely to loose control later on. Still think doing anything directly with Molag is pure foolishness. Of course Molag is not going to want to cure a vampire :p Yet seems like she has few options.

Thank you very much Jonathan; very glad you did enjoy the double-nature of this part. Yes; it indeed was Delphine and her Group of "recruit-blades" - which will be most likely yet another Level of Trouble; as Delphine - or anybody in the Group for that matter - might not be too Kind should they notice that Kyn is a Vamp. Molag indeed might have one; if Kyn doesn't find a way to cure herself for sure.

Well, Isran is a matter of "what we know" vs "what he possibly can know" - we do know that all Koen told is basically a big fat lie; but Isran has no inside apart from what he suspects - so he has to believe big parts of it; as he has no other source of Information. But given his suspicious and overcareful nature I think he would at least investigate it further before believing it completely. Hopefully Koen won't screw up and get impatient; and start a search for Kyn while the Dawnguard is still Monitoring him.

Indeed, it might be better that she has feed for a short time; but in the Long term it might be a Problem; as now the first barrier is basically broken; meaning the step to go for "real" innoncent Targets might be easier/faster. I doubt that Molag would help with a Cure aswell; but there is one or two cases where he was involved in a cure in some way or another if I recall that correctly - at least he was the source for the Cure (gameplay wise) in Morrowind.

But if he agrees to help obtain a Cure (if I remember that correctly he himself did not cure; he just obtained the cure in some Fashion) it will not be without a considerable price; most likely even worse than the Black Soul Gem. In any case I do agree it would be foolish to venture there; unless as the last Resort. And even then Kyn should think about it very carefully. But knowing her; doing something foolish might just happen. At least I hope she will at least try all other Options; among which might be the College of Winterhold.

Thank you again for your comment and Feedback

Great to see a Kyn chapter up hon! It's been a while since we've seen the vampire with a heart.

I mistrust Isran so much! I think Koen's wise to be on the lookout for any shady doings from the head of the Dawnguard, and I suspect his movements will be shadowed for a long time. Nice to see Kyn getting out of the DB mess, though sometimes i wonder if one can ever be truly free from their darkness. Sad that she misses her dear friend Garm but I was shocked by her dealings with Delphine and the fellow Blades... it seems as though Kyn's destiny is catching up with her; those feelings stirred up in Bleak Falls Barrow once again coming to the fore as she helped fight and kill that dragon.

Where too now? And will brother and sister become reunited again?

Thank you very much; glad you are happy to see her again!

Well, I do agree with you - Isran; much like Astrid; is somebody you better don't trust. Hopefully Koen was convincing enough; and will be in his blade-for-hire role to eventually lose the spies of the Dawnguard on his tracks.

I do agree; I doubt that Kyn will be completely free from the Influence of the Brotherhood; one way or the other; especially with Shadowmere around.
Kyn is not a great fan of horses to begin with; as she sees them as fast but not very versatile; as they can't navigate any Terrain as she can on foot; but she has to simply acknowledge the Speed shadowmere posses; so I assume she wants to keep him/her (thanks beth for that confusion ) around.

Well, hopefully it goes towards Whiterun now; finding Garm and after that decide what to do; as Kyn would want the opinion of Garm on the Blades matter before making a call on it - if Delphine doesn't make that call for her as soon as she realizes that Kyn is a Vamp .. which might end badly; seen as Delphine has a lot of capable backup and isn't the weakest on her own

Took me a bit to read..my brain feeling like mush because I've been sick..but it was an amazing chapter dear !! Kynthia is finally free from the Brotherhood..or so she believes. Quite the grim thoughts she was having there...about finding the ebony warrior again and that it would be her last battle..but then brighter thoughts came to mind..as she started to think of Garm. Her option for a cure seems very limited...dealing with Molag Bal's cult sure doesn't sound like the best of idea.

So far things also went well for Koen, Isran seem to have bought his story to an extend though he was not quite easily fooled with Koen wanting to leave the Dawnguard and sent people to keep an eye out on him..though Koen expected the move..so for now he'll have to act as some random sword-for-hire..till they stop following him..and he can finally reunite with Kynthia !

I guess it could be a matter of perspective as to think if that bandit was an unwilling victim or not for her to drain. He did attack her on sight and was intend on killing her...so it was a to be killed or kill...so she might as well put him to good use by feeding herself...since regardless his life was forfeit.

The dragon attack and meeting with Delphine and the Blades..now that was unexpected....to add to everything else, Kynthia is the Dragonborn..adding to her destiny. I'm very curious to see how things will unfold for dear Kyn !

    Amazing work dear !

Oh I do hope you are Feeling better my friend! Thank you very much for taking the time to read and comment on this chapter; very happy you did enjoy it.

Indeed Kynthia hopes she is free from the Brotherhood; but given Astrid's Nature I doubt that it will be the last she has heared of that Organization. Well; while she has certain abilities concerning Combat she is still Aware that in a Close quarters swordfight she has not much of Chance against the much bigger and better armored Warrior; and the last time they met didn't go too well; especially since her bow was rather useless; which is her prefered weapon after all.

So she does fear that she won't be able to overcome him; should she find him. But on the other Hand she doesn't want to drag Koen into the mess - even though I think he would want to join that fight. Will be interesting how that turns out.

Indeed Garm is a source of better thoughts for her; and to her the most important friend she has.

I do agree that dealing with a Bal Cult; especially in her Situation and with her request so to speak would be a daft idea; but knowing her I think if she doesn't find another way soon she will go for it anyway .. Hopefully Garm will be able to stop her; convince her that it is not worth the risk in this case.

Indeed it seems that Isran was willing to believe the Story and let Koen go; misjudging his intentions in that Moment. But I think Koen has to be extremely careful; if Isran suspects anything it will most likely be a source of a lot of Trouble!

Well, I personally do agree - as the Bandit attacked her; and she had to defend herself in any case it would be stupid to not use the Chance. But the Problem for her is rather simple.. where to draw the line between taking the blood from "unwilling" subjects and not doing so; as it might be a rather blurry line - so she rather wouldn't take it at all unless given willingly instead of making a "wrong" judgement call on that line at some Point

Well; I did try to avoid it as Long as possible; but the hints have been there for a while. (Garm smelling something strange on her during their first Meeting in Bleak Falls; the word walls ) Now the question remaining is if Delphine will be as excited as soon as she realizes that Kyn is a Vampire; or if she might even turn on her

Thank you very much my friend!

loved the story and the images!

Just begging for more line breaks - Nexus white-on-grey typocaust is killing enough eyes already, long paragraphs are really a chore... ;-)
