Poor Ripp needs to clear her head, all right....for her to be bushwhacked like that, even by a stealthy Khajiit....that's very troubling, and speaks volumes about her FAR-too-distracted state of mind.
Normally, she'd mop the road with such trash....
I laughed at the E.C.'s "leisure-time"....does Silke have a "tin ear" by chance? Can't hold a note? ^^
She might get along well with "Cacophonix the Bard" from "Asterix". ^^
Hmmm....I'd like to know if that "note" is for real, or just a ruse....I suspect those low-rent "Assassin" scum might have been nothing more than sacrificial red herrings....^^

Clearly Ripp is far to distracted to go wandering around the swamps. Would have been wise to keep Silke with her. Hopefully she will learn from her mistake. Lucky Garm was so close.

Oh Ripps new armor is hot hot hot........ smoking hot on her.........but she should not go out alone,, no matter how strong she is, should have a look out thank goodness for Gram showing up when he did and he was sure able to take down those clumsy DB with out any problems.

So something is clearly troubling Ripp and sounds like it is to much responsibility and not enough fun. It was good that Garm was around and I think you are right, more like destiny, to keep those assassins from killing Ripp. Have to wonder who they are and why they are after her (besides the obvious reasons I mean ... any number of human settlements would probably want to see her and the others dead ... but in this case it seems like she was singled out).
Luck for Ripp that Garm "happened" to be nearby. Hopefully Ripp learns from this.
