With music and pictures like that, no words are necessary, beautiful mixture of memories and sadness.
    Another great set of you!

Awww... Another fitting song. It captures how Rathe probably feels in that last pic. I can imagine all these beautifully-captured scenes going through his head as he sits by the water.

A good last chapter, Jess! (Now on the the epilogue...)

So sad, so beautiful, so emotional, so magnificent.
What a ride it has been. I can only hope that the gods will smile upon these two in the afterlife. They have certainly paid their due on this plane of existence!

Brilliant as always. Thank you for sharing this epic work.

Well I ended up changing my mind and posting on every story lol. This is pure emotion here though - music and memories. How do you feel? I know what you wrote on the epilogue so I know in many ways you feel a lot of relief. But pulling up all those images that you put here - you have been sharing Rathe for a very long time on Nexus. To not only say good bye to Fleur ... but also to your stories ... I just wonder if there is some sense of sadness there.

A truly epic story. Yours was one of the first I ever read on Nexus and I have been with you a very long time, always looking forward to your wonderful talent and fantastic words. I can only hope you do complete that book and you remember to hunt us all down to share it. Free - meh I would gladly pay for a book you have written, especially if about Rathe.

You know you're so right. I was a little upset at killing Fleur and Darius and also massively tears making this set, but actually saying goodbye to WRITING rathe... Yeah, that's pretty hard. I HAVE NOT uninstalled skyrim and don't know if I will even if I don't load it up and play it again... I can't bring myself to do it. I suppose I have a part of him still in the novel I'm writing but it's not the same. I DO miss my broody shadow-walker, and maybe that more than anything will bring me back to the nexus again some time soon...

It is wonderful to see all those glimpses of his memories with fleur, moments good and bad, tender and painful, loving and angry, sights of a love that grew among danger and shadow, of one who managed to wake feelings Rathe had thought lost, it is very sad that love had to end in a tragic way worthy of a Shakespearean play. Leaves a weight in my chest to see Rathe sitting by the cold water in his sorrow, you really drew out that emotion.

Thanks hon; oh yes, I had a lump in my throat / weigh in my chest when I looked through this set the moment I uploaded it. As you say, it's because of seeing the good, the bad,the ugly that they shared... and knowing that it's over between them... tragically and finally over.
