Perfect conclusion Jonathan. Race about Alfrún and Thalmor was very intense and brilliantly described, I admire your talent. It is good to see that the Thalmor were destroyed, Alfrún is a great fighter and I liked her disappearances she was able to use at the right time.

It seems that Alfrún is very hard with Grim, making him understand that he was like a tool of vengeance, that makes me really sad for Grim, especially seeing his reactions. But I am not sure it is only a tool of revenge for her, I feel she really loves but has not acquired the maternal feelings and that she hides her feelings for his son.
I love this sentence of Grim: "I do not find him any harder to love than nature itself.”
As I often say I find very admirable the way how you add Fenrir in the TES lore, but now I'm even more impressed when I see all the history that you've managed to add goshawks of the thieves guild main quest, it is so consistent and well led. All this gives a lot of freshness to these old quests that I know almost by heart!

I really appreciate the words Alfrún about Thalmor who hates half-breeds, for them they are abominations, even worse than humans. I saw a lot of discussion on French forums Skyrim, many said "I do not like the nords, they are stupid racist..." it is true that the Nords are very "nationalistic" but the racist in the game are the Thalmor, they think that other races are their lower, so they are perfectly within the definition of racism. All races in the game have flaws, but the Thalmor are the worst garbage!
May the Thalmor tremble, one day we will destroy all of them and when Fenrir will be free, their arrogance disappear in Oblivion with them! ^^

Magnificent pictures too and I love the last shot with the smiling Grim

Many thanks Franck for working your way through this long conclusion I am glad you enjoyed the story as well as some of my thoughts on the Thalmor and things in general. Alfrun does care for Grim but she is a bit confused over that and so its not easy for her to deal with. It caught her by surprise.

I understand the issue with the Nords and bigotry ... one reason I always sided with the Imperials. However I like to think it isn't all of them. Many of them seem more open - just the storm cloaks tend to attract the more extreme ones I think ... as those are the ones more willing to fight for their independence.

Glad you liked the shots and Fenrir will probably share some form of retribution against the Thalmor :p

Another great read with plenty of wonderful screen captures and writing; once again I got so carried away in the story that I had to double-check to make sure I left a well-deserved endorsement for you!

I like how Grim finally decided "to hell with it, she's my mom and deserves a big bear hug!" much to everyone's surprise ;-)

Thank you very much DoC and you captured my feeling on the hug very well - pretty much what was going through Grim's mind

Epic chapter my friend! Loved it, and particularly the memory sequences those were terrific! I do wonder if Fenrir changes shape though? Maybe best not to wonder lol

Awesome conclusion, so wonderfully written with very beautiful, atmospheric and expressive shots! Alfrun struggle with the Thalmor agents was very intense as well as her fight, truly her self will and battle prowess are amazing! It is great that she has prevailed, though it is such a pity that precious rune is useless without the Eye of Magnus...

Grim conversation with his mother was also very intense, though in emotional way. He seemed totally confused, and it is understandable, too much information and memories that are not his. I was a little sad to know that Alfrun doesn't love and never loved Fenrir, her feelings for him are admiration and respect. I think Grim is right, to love his father is not so hard, since he represents nature, it were beautiful and poetic words that he has said. Also I think it is still hard for Grim so easily accept Alfrun in his life, yet his hug with her said a lot of words without speaking them aloud.

So now their ways have separated once more, they both have very important business to attend to, finally expose and get rid of Mercer along with more epic quest - getting the eye of Magnus...
thank you very much for sharing your awesome work! I will look forward for continuation! And I am so intrigued by future Erik's story too!

Thanks for the kind feedback Nataly! Alfrun does have her faults but she is a very capable thief and illusionist otherwise she would not have been able to steal the rune or last as long as she had. She loves adventure and challenge and is a bit of a renegade. A bit chaotic even.

In regards to Alfrun and Fenrir - as I mentioned to Aaron she just didn't feel it. He is a bit overwhelming to her. She has trouble really getting her mind around him as a "person". She likes and cares for him, otherwise she would not be helping him, but she just never really felt love towards him. Her mother and sister are the two main loves in her life. I suspect she had some mistreatment by men and therefore does not feel as comfortable around them - Grim and Erik being exceptions for obvious reasons.

Aye they are separated and they do have business. It will be hard as they have to act like they don't really know each other ... but I suppose it isn't all that much of an act since they really don't know each other. However there will be more about the two of them later on. I got something really big planned later

Good conclusion! Grim's hug near the end was an especially nice touch; some things are hard to express any other way. Lovely pics, too, as always -- especially the last/title one!

I can hardly wait to see what comes next, both Erik's story and Grim's.

P.S. -- What languages does Grim know, anyway?

Thanks Aaron and glad you enjoyed the hug Grim doesn't totally trust her, and was annoyed about her comment on Fenrir ... but love isn't a switch you turn on and off. It happens or it doesn't I think (although, of course, it can also grow stronger, or weaker, over time). Anyhow he knows she gave up a lot for him in some ways and in her own way cares for him so he wanted to show that.

As for languages ... I don't want to lock myself into anything but Fenrir is an ancient creature. Marissa taught him most of the current languages, at least enough to get by in (those of the main races), and he can read/write in about half of them. For old languages Snow Elf, Forsworn, Skaal, and Atmorian would be the main ones.

Fantastic writing friend! This might be one of my favourite episodes so far, the emotion you describe is superb and the pictures complement your story nicely
You just keep getting better and better and I hope you will be writing many, many more episodes of Grim's story!
