Three Hostages One Contract
Matso ENB - KYOs Color Immersive Bloom Variant
Lustmord Vampire Armor
This is a sort of continuing from this part but starts as a new chapter.
It was after some resting at the Inn and many hours of walking that Irene finally arrived to Morthal where she got greeted with cold looks like they were having a problem they could not figure out how to resolve.. perhaps since she already were there, she could help out.. the guard told her to bugger off cause he thought she was a thief and she just gave him a look with her bright eyes piercing through his own eyes like needles sticking through soft pillows of silk and feathers. He shakes his head and murmur to himself while she continuing.. "what a strange lass.."
At the Moorside Inn she got greeted more friendly, maybe because they dont get many visitors(that figures), Irene thinks as she walks up to the bar.
"Welcome to Morthal!" - greeted Jonna the Innkeeper with a smile as Irene steps in front of the bar.
"Silent town.. and whats with that burnt down house right outside here?" - Irene asks with a smile to show the gratitude of the only kindness she's seen so far in this small town.
Irene gets answers for her question with no hesitation.. saying the house is cursed and so on, told to see the Jarl and perhaps she would be glad to have someone to look into this as an investigation.
"Hmm.. why not.." - Irene shrugs as she walks out to find the Jarl.
The Jarl approved almost like she has had a vision of Irene's coming to town for rescue and after some investigation, she found out it was Vampires at play here, messing around.. finding a certain someone called Alva's journal who was a citizen here, but in truth she was a Vampire seeking to make this whole town into Thralls for her Master Movarth. Had to stop this once and for all so Jarl had gathered some men and women to follow to his cave to kill him, maybe Alva was there too cause she wasnt at her home.
Arrival at the cave entrence, everyones wuss out except the one brave man, namely Thonnir.. brave for a normal worker at the mill to be, to delve into a cave with many powerful Vampires hidden.
The cave wasnt too dark, but it wasnt much light in it either, and it didnt take long before one of Movarths Thralls attacked, then further in Alva was located standing there doing nothing before hearing Irene right behind her and didnt hesitate a second to attack with her drain spell. Movarth sat like a boss in his so-trusted hard-stoned chair and looked with discusted expression as Irene steps in with a such confidence in her voice which made him nearly spit out his cup of fresh blood by laughing.
When he was dead, Thonnir thanked her for the help she had done, he thank'd her for the gratitude of whole Morthal and by that they all headed back.
Thonnir went to his house and Irene with her friends went back to the Moorside Inn, pay'd for a room as she told Alana and Azalea to relax, paying for a room for them too.
She turned around after paying for the rooms, to see Azalea already deep in thought reading her book, but as Alana came stumbling next to her, stopped up but easily see how unbalanced she was there she stood looking like to floor itself was moving under her feets.
"How come you're already drunk when we just got here?" - Irene couldnt help but chuckle.
"Whaht? i'am not dhrunk!" - she stared into Irene's bright eyes, and Irene could see in her pretty eyes how the alcohol was flooding through her pupils.
"Maybe.. you should consider go to bed now.." - Irene chuckle'd even more.
"NO! ... i will shtay here with dear.. uh.. whahts her name again..."
"Azalea?" - Irene asks still smiling.
"YES! ... uh.. her i will keep company, have a little chat!" - she manage to say before almost falling over Azalea who just sighted..
"Haha.. alright, have fun you two.. i'm off to bed at least." - Irene walks in her room.
She places her weapons on the floor near the bed, and then lay down on the soft hayfilled bed with a sheet of skin placed above it all and lie still there starts thinking about her pain earlier again, and about the feeling about the sun, and how she has all of a sudden got such cool bright eyes. It doesnt really make sense.. and if the case what Claudia says is true, how can she become a Vampire when she is a Werewolf, and how could she still have became a Werewolf when she still has Vampireblood in her veins. And she didnt have any thirst of blood, only hunger for meat which was an effect of the Werewolves.. and where was her fangs.. was the horrible pain earlier just the beginning of something worse, or will it be that bad.. she has been a Vampire earlier but got cured somehow which she didnt though was possible.. Maybe it wasnt possible at all, it just gathered the power in a sort of quarantine in her body..
Irene's head was filled with thoughts of this, circling around giving her a headache so she decides to just stop and closes her eyes instead, slowly falling asleep.
She had no idea what would happen when she woke up, and the sight she saw startled her.. but first as she opened her eyes, she saw the walls of the room wasnt like the walls at the Inn she fell asleep in.. she opened her eyes more and slowly rose up from bed with blurry sight, and there she saw.. someone with a dark outfit sitting on top of a shelf gazing down on her.
"Slept well?" - the lady on the shelf suddenly said with a sly and relaxed tone.
Irene rubbed her eyes abit and her sight became clear again as she saw the woman she has never seen before better.
"How.. where am i?" - Irene asked, startled but yet not scared or worried of what would happen to her, she could see her crossbow on the bed though so she at least had one of her weapons close if the stranger decided to attack her.
"Thats not important, what i wanna talk about is Grelod the Kind!"
Irene looked surprised at her.. "you.. know about that?"
"Ofcourse.. who wouldnt.. either way it was a contract you stole.. from US, the Dark Brotherhood!" - the stranger had still a relaxed tone.. "and since you did that, you have to repay what you stole!"
"So.. you probably want me to kill someone else now, eh?" - Irene said sarcasticly.
"Funny you should mention that.. turn around.. you see three people sitting there.. one of them has a contract signed, but which one is a fair question.. you pick anyone you feel or know it is, and kill him or her!" - the stranger gave Irene a sly smile as she turned around after grabbing her crossbow.
Seeing these three people sitting on their knees, bound and blinded.. surprisingly none of them were shaking of fear or anything, except the one to the left seemed to be more nervous so Irene decided to ask him few questions first. His name was Fultheim the Fearless..
"Huh.. fearless?" - Irene says sarcasticly hearing the stranger on the shelf chuckle at that..
"He's cried like a baby since he got here!" - she still chuckled.
"H-hey.. thats not.. funny.. i'm not.. scared!" - Fultheim response with nervousity echouing through his voice.
"HAH.. you baby.. maybe you can cry off the chains bounding your weak hands.." - the other hostage next to him quickly says with a rude tone.
"And who might you be?" - Irene turns to her.
"None of your damned business, is who i am, LADY!"
"M..maybe you should be more nice to a lady who might kill you any moment now.." - Fultheim nervousily turns to her blindly.
"He's right, you know!" - Irene adds.
"BAH.. maybe if you just remove these handcuffs and the bag of my face.. so i can spit on your..." - She couldnt finish the sentence before the third hostage interupted with a voice who could easily make him sound like a Khajiit, which he actually was.. "such anger.. so intense.. its so unnecessary!"
He had such sly voice along with his Khajiit accent that it was so clear who he was, or rather said what he was.. a smuggler, a thief.. businessman of the thieves, but not from the Thieves Guild.
"Time to end this then.. i'm sorry!" - Irene says to them all and reaches for her crossbow, and aims dirrectly to the one she has decided to kill.
Everything was silent as Irene slowly breathing continued.. she focused the crossbow first towards Fultheim, then the annying lady.. then the Khajiit.. who to kill.. she had to kill one of them.. and then she fired the bolt, hit the hostage right in the throat, followed with a scream.
"Ah.. the wife of someone.. her husband was actually the one signing the contract for her, just a fact you may be interested in.." - the stranger looks at Irene as she walks up to her again.
"I did what you wanted.. now maybe you should let me go.. before my next bolt gets stuck in your chest!" - Irene still not happy she got kidnapped during the night..
"Yes you did, but why stop here?"
"Your point is?" - Irene asks puzzled.
"You did such fine job killing Grelod the Kind, and still no one knows who actually killed her.." - she continues.
"So i invite you, Irene.. to the Dark Brotherhood.. maybe you will be a good help in our team." - the stranger still smiles, and gives Irene the key to the shack they were inside. Irene was silent for a moment.. but before she could response, the stranger continued again... "you dont have to say anything, take this note explaining where our hideout are located and the password to get inside."
"You trust me this much, do you?" - Irene simply asked.
"Why not.. you've already killed two people who have had a contract to the Dark Brotherhood.. and you're a member of the Thieves Guild, their leader no less.. your crime wont be less what you've already done earlier.. and before i forget.. i know what you are, a really unique Werewolf actually.. and my name is Astrid."
Irene looks at her.. thinking how she could know she was a Werewolf.. either way she got the key and wanted to get out of this for now..
"I'll think about it.." - Irene says as she walks out.
Back at the Inn again, she got met by two pair of serious and worried looks piercing into her bright eyes.. she smiles but doesnt seem to help.
"Where have you been all night?" - Alana said sternly, but abit of a hangover on top.
"Why didnt you tell us before you left?" - Azalea more sternly.
"I'm sorry.. but i'll tell you about everything while i eat, alright!" - Irene answers.
