Changelogs
Reduction of the polygon count the meshes have to increase fps.
The original objects are not very goodly optimized for a program, which needs to draw all geometry on the screen ideally >60 times a second.
When being in 3rd person mode, all objects in the ship are still calculated/humanly visible if the ship would be invisible, but not the tilesets.

Try to clip through the ship by using limnal, then slow down to cruise speed (don't move), get out the ship, fix player, then when getting out again you can fly through the ship. Close the entry door from outside!

A Tip: Turning Lighting Quality to high increases fps on my pc. You can try it too!

There are 4 (partly incomplete) levels:
Level 1 is as similar to the original as possible, except for flat screens, buttons, tiles, no rounded edges and so.
See it as turning off bump maps.
Level 2 more obvious details cut off.
At this time, just the battery array, limnal drive and objects in bathroom + engineer tilesets are reduced to address the heaviest meshes.
Level 3 is basic/rough form.
Level 4 is boxes, boxy and deformed.

You save with lvl1 in furniture and machines alone ~34000 polygons.
Even my 2.2 Ghz dual core and geforce 8600m gt can get acceptable fps!

After examining the art of this game, I am in awe of the creativity these objects are made with!!
She must really enjoy her profession. Respect!
Thanks to Brendan for the retro pixel option and slow loading of planets, real life savers! And for making me learn Blender, amazing program, big fan.

I see that many things can still be reduced. Will do in the future.
If you find poopy stuff you want to be changed, tell me.
