First to RaptorMeat the creator of Rodina, for a hugely charming and original science fiction take on seamless space exploration, combat, physics and so on.
Many thanks to LowBudgetBatman, for his video on making a ship model in Blender and exporting it to Rodina, also for his prolific and quite excellent work adding and diversifying all the in game 3D elements from interiors to ships.
Finally to all who worked and continue to work on Blender, a truly powerful and full featured 3D modeller that is in my honest opinion very intuitive and pleasant to use.

An alternative player ship with an attractive 2 tone colour scheme that reminds me of a Badger hence the name, in keeping with the low poly minimalist art direction that is a large component of the irresistible charm that the game has.
When I bought this game I was not satisfied with the vanilla ship model. I'd heard it was relatively simple to mod a different model and it took me about 3 days to learn how to use Blender well enough to make this. I will say, that regardless of your technical skill the most important thing is having a clear idea in your mind about the overall design and how it will look, perhaps sketch designs and so on will help. With this all the rest will be drawn out as you try and fail and retry to get the result you want out of the modelling software.
I included the Blender file so you can mess around with it further or change the colours or whatever pleases you.
