About this mod

Removes Auto-saving

Permissions and credits
arxarx has updated his no-autosave mod. Please use that as this was a temporary mod until his got updated.

Release:

v1.0 - Pillars of Eternity patch version 1.0.3.0530 -steam (may work too with non-steam, I wouldn't know)

Initially for personal use but decided to release it for those who don't want autosaving. Not an original mod but it's up-to-date with the latest version of Pillars of Eternity -steam (9 April, 2015). Original mod by arxarx (credit down below).

Why use such a mod?
In Pillars of Eternity, every transition through a door or stairs into a new scene begins by the game auto-saving. This process takes longer and longer as you progress through the game to a point where some feel it breaks immersion and creates frustration. Disabling/removing this feature lowers load times and improves gameplay fluidity through faster transitions.

What it actually does:
- Removes all possibility of Auto-saving ever again. This feature is gone. Won't exist at all. Deleted the autosave() method in Assembly-CSharp.dll
- Mainly a quick fix, in no way the best solution (in an ideal world one would create a toggle on/off button for auto-saving...) to this problem but it gets the job done.

Installation:
- Go to "...Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\Managed"
- MAKE A BACKUP of Assembly-CSharp.dll
- Replace over your existing Assembly-CSharp.dll in your directory with the downloaded version from here
- DONE! Start playing and have fun!

Note: It does not break any existing and/or future saves and the process is easily reversible by placing your backup file back in. Incompatible with IE Mod.

TIP: QUICKSAVE OFTEN!! (F5 by default)

Credit:
- Could not have been done without the use of Besters PoE Modding Framework.
- Inspired by arxarx no autosave mod and thanks to him/her for creating the mod in the first place.
