The new March 23 1.2 oatch for Oblivion made default LODs look a lot better, but I felt their new \"noise\" added too sharp of a pepper effect, so I made my own that tones it down a smidgen.
This is a screen from the original vanilla Oblivion, unpatched:

This is the prepatched game using Shaja's LOD: http://oblivion.brashendeavors.net/pix/prepatchshaja.jpg
This is after the 1.2 patch added a new "noise" effect: http://oblivion.brashendeavors.net/pix/patchedpepper.jpg
Ok, and finally -- this is the new one I made to "mute" the pepper effect a little: http://oblivion.brashendeavors.net/pix/lesspepper.jpg
Just unzip and extract the DDS file to \Oblivion\Data\Textures\Effects\
I *HIGHLY* suggest you first back up the patched version so you can revert back if you don't like the new one.
*** THIS ONLY WORKS ON GAMES PATCHED WITH THE 1.2 patch, released March 23 2007.
