My first mod (golly, where have we heard THAT before). I thought this would be a useful tool. Look for it in The Gilded Carafe. You'll need to finish a very small quest to get it to work. I'm hoping to add subsequent chapters, but this mod should stay unchanged (barring any bugs found).

Addendum 31 January 2007:

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be mysterious. And thanks to those who left comments so I'd know there was a problem.

Item: Bone Grinder - it looks like a big silver urn on the floor near the entrance in the Gilded Carafe. You can buy it by clicking on it (a dialog box will pop up and you don't have to accept Claudette's first offer depending on your Mercantile skill). You can also steal it if you want. Instructions come with it.

Purpose: Turn ordinary bones into bone meal. To use, put it in your inventory and attempt to equip it. When it's powered up and fixed, it will remove every bone from your inventory and replace them with bone meal. It only works on the default original bones in vanilla Oblivion.

Quest: The BG starts out broken and powerless. The instructions that come with it will tell you what you need for power and where to go for replacement parts.I use map markers during the quest so you can't get lost. When you have parts and a power source, attempt to equip the BG to install them. It has to be powered before it can be fixed. This is a VERY short quest.

Installation: Put KTRXBoneGrinder.esp into your Oblivion\Data folder and remember to select it in the DATA FILES section before playing.

Compatibility: Should work with most other mods. All my scripts are attached only to my own instances of objects. I didn't modify anything other than my own objects. Only five objects were added to the game world, including the BG.

Known Bug: Very rarely some bones get left behind even though the BG counts them as processed and produced bone meal for them. This is a bug with RemoveItem and I haven't figured out what to do about it. For now if it happens you can just reuse the BG and the remaing bones should be processed as usual.
