Budoka are warriors, born and bred. They are strong, agile, tough melee fighters who seek honor in closing with the enemy and defeating him in personal combat. Battle training starts at a young age for Budoka children to foster the ability to resist fire and reflect damage and to develop the power of kiai to achieve victory.
Budoka come to Tamriel from the distant island of Yamato. They are regarded with dislike and suspicion by other races, but are sought after as soldiers, bodyguards and assassins.
The Budoka Race conforms to Bethesda Softwork's default start characteristics:
320 Base Attributes and 45 Skill Bonus.
Starting Base Attributes
Strength = 50
Intelligence = 30
Willpower = 30
Agility = 50
Speed = 40
Endurance = 50
Luck = 50
Personality = 20
Starting Skill Bonus
Blade = 10
Block = 10
Blunt = 10

Plug-in Features

This an attempt to create a new playable race in Oblivion with a truly Asian appearance. Oblivion's default Imperial body meshes and textures have been used in order to allow other player-created body mods to work successfully with the Budoka Race. This plug-in will not affect the appearance of any other race.
To overcome the problem that prevents Custom Races from advancing past the beginning prison scene, an initial main quest stage has been modified to bypass the Dark Elf taunting section and go directly to the approach of the Emperor. This allows "Budoka - Asian Race" to work as its own Custom Race Enabler. It can also act as a race enabler for other Custom Race mods as long as it remains activated in the Data Files portion of your Oblivion Start Menu.
A new "Kiai" Power Attack sound file is included which mixes randomly with default Power Attack sounds. The default prison costume has been replaced by a new kendo-style uwagi. Captain Renault's armor has been replaced with lootable, playable Blade heavy armor.
