I. About
******************************************

A personal experiment (my first with retexturing) to see if I could expand and make my favorite armor style (steel) useful and valid throughout my characters lifetime.

II. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN
******************************************

1) Place the *.esp file into your "Oblivion/Data" folder. If asks to overwrite, choose "Yes".

2) Place the 'meshes' and 'textures' folders within the same "Oblivion/Data" folder. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS STEP, THE ARMOR WILL NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY!

3) When launching the game, make sure to select the 'MasterworkArmors.esp' data file in the 'Data' option menu.

III. Mod Description
******************************************

This mod adds a total of four new styles of armor to the game's armor vendors. This armor is all simply retextured from the games default steel armor, but is also adjusted in stats to be 'stronger' than standard steel.

Fine Steel Armor is not graphically very different, but it's stats have been adjusted so that it has the armor rating of Dwarven, the weight and value of Orcish, and the durability (health) of Ebony. It comes in the standard skin, and a 'Blackened' skin which is slightly darker.

Masterwork Steel Armor is a bit more different, visually and stat wise. It has the armor rating of Orcish, the weight and value of Ebony, and the durability (health) of Daedric. It comes in a white skin and a very dark 'Blackened' skin.

This armor will not be worn by miscreants and outlaws, as I did not want to adjust the leveled lists for creatures. However, the leveled list for heavy armor vendors (most notably Varnado of The Best Defense) have been changed so that they now sell Fine Steel armor at level 13, and Masterwork at level 15.

IV. What makes this mod different?
******************************************

Essentially, nothing. Retexture mods are a dime a dozen. If you don't like steel armor as it is, this mod is not for you. Plain and simple.

However, I tried to make this a 'believable' and in-character change. The true test will be your own opinions.

V. Major and Minor Changes
******************************************

1) Twenty-four new pieces of armor, from boots to shields, were added.

2) Leveled lists for Heavy Armor Boots, Cuirass, Helmet, Greaves, Gauntlets and Shields were adjusted so that vendors now sell these items.

3) Cell change to The Best Defense shop floor, cell name 'ICMarketDistrictTheBestDefense.' Moved the bench from the right hand as your entering the shop. Replaced it with two tables and a stack of the new armors for 'display' purposes. Armor is owned by shop managers.

V. WARNING
******************************************

1) ICMarketDistrictTheBestDefense: If another mod makes any changes to this zone, which I admit is pretty likely nowdays, this mod may conflict.

2) VendorArmorHeavyBoots, Cuirass, Gauntlets, Greaves, Helm and Shield leveled lists have been changed to hold new items. May conflict with other mods that change these lists.
