1.) Features

This mod is similar the many shield unequip scripts out there but
it takes it one step further. This mod also puts the shield on your
back!

Previous versions of this mod used an arrow and the quiver slot, but in
this version the script has been redone from scratch, and now uses the
shield slot, which works much, much better and means all you marksmen out
there wont have to worry about your arrows!

This also means that the enchanted shields will still give you the enchant
and armor bonus, since the "back" shield is basicly a duplicate of the
orginal, except it uses a different .nif file. It also transfers the
health of the shield back and forth.

Note: The mod ------REQUIRES----- OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) v0009a
(or above) to function, get it here: http://obse.silverlock.org/

Any questions/comments/suggestions/bugs etc please feel free to email me!

2.) Installation / Uninstallation

Installation:

If you already had v1.0 or v1.1, delete the respective esp, and delete
everything in the folder "data\meshes\tycho", including the folder; or if
you have the OMOD version, just deactivate it and delete that OMOD. The
meshes have now been moved to "data\armor\tycho" since the "back" shields
are now armor and not arrows. Make sure to activate the mod.

If you have the OMOD version just activate it, otherwise extract the
contents of the rar to your "oblivion/data" folder. There should not be
any files overwritten. Then make sure to activate it in the oblivion loader.

In both methods make sure to start the game with OBSE.

One suggestion, because this mod adds a script to every shield in the
game, i suggest you disable any mods that add scripts to shields, or
use Oblivion mod manager to change the load order so this loads after
any other mods that add scripts to shields.

Uninstallation:

If you have the OMOD, just deactivate it!

Otherwise delete the "Tycho's Shield On Back v2.0 Full.esp" file, and
delete the folder "tycho" under "data/meshes/armor", and all the files
in it.

3.) User's Manual

This mod does everything automaticly, so all you have to do is equip a
shield and it will start working when you draw and sheath your weapon.
If when you sheath your weapon or already had it sheathed and the "back"
shield isnt shown, then draw your weapon, unequip and then equip the
shield again and it should work from that point on. You should not have
to do this when switching to a different shield, but again, if it doesnt
show it follow the above and it will start working!

If you decide to use a shield that you enchant yourself and it keeps
switching to the last shield you had equiped, just drop the shield it keeps
switching to on you and it should stop. You can pick the other shield up
again after that.

4.) Troubleshooting

As of v2.0 this mod now includes all the shields that you can get in the
game, including the ones that are pre-enchanted. This mod DOES NOT WORK
with shields you enchant yourself though, because of the limitations of the
oblivion scripting, this is impossible to do (at least for now, lets see
what the OBSE people come up with in later versions of their extender!).

If a "back" shield doesnt show or you get a big yellow ! that means a .nif
file is missing, make sure you put all the files in the "meshes/armor/tycho"
folder in the "oblivion/data/meshes/armor/tycho" folder.

If nothing happens when you draw and sheath your weapon make sure the .esp
is activated in the oblivion loader; if it is, make sure you have OBSE installed
and that you run the game from the obse_loader.exe file, not the oblivion loader
or oblivion.exe. Also make sure you version of OBSE is at least v0009a or higher

If you do run into a bug like the wrong shield model showing or a shield
not working, please email me!

5.) Modders information

I do plan on adding shields from other mods to this mod. I havnt decided
the best way to go about doing that yet, either letting the authors of
those mods do it themselves or if I will go through and do it (leaning
toward doing it myself). If you have requests for mods to be added to
this please email me with the name and a link to download it and I will
see about adding it to the list of mods to add.

6.) Credits

A shout out to all the people who helpped me at the CS forums at the
elderscrolls.com forums!

Also thanks to Evantal's Dual Wielding for the insperation for this mod
(I'll probably add this to the top of the "mods to add to this mod" list!)

7.) Version History

v2.0
-- Completely remade the script from scratch.
-- Now the "back" shield is a duplicate of the original shield but with
the new .nif file.
-- Uses Shield slot instead of quiver.
-- Added all the shields from the game, including pre-encanted ones.
-- The health of the shield is transfered from the orginal to the duplicate
and back.

v1.1
-- Changed the script so that it would remember what arrows were equiped and
then equip them again when a weapon was drawn.
-- Created all the .nif files that would be needed for all the shields.

v1.0
-- First version, used arrow slot and custom .nif to put a shield on the back
-- More of a proof of concept, only had a few shields
