This is a simple mod that adds torches to the inventory of most of the guards in the game. I dont know if adding torches to the inventory of the guards will conflict with other mods. The guards then will use the torches automatically at the proper time.
To install this mod just put it in your data folder and activate it.
Feel free to share and distribute this mod any way you like. I havent checked it for compatibility but its just adding an item to a NPC's inventory so use it at your own risk.
