Monks, wizards, and Conan-style warriors rejoice! This mod adds the unarmored skill back to Oblivion!
The unarmored ability is directly tied to your acrobatics skill. Once you reach apprentice level in acrobatics (25) you get an unarmored shield effect when fighting without a cuirass. Furthermore, if you are hit during unarmored combat, you will automatically train your acrobatics skill -- just like normal armor. You can still wear non-cuirass armor pieces but these will penalize your unarmored shield effect and skill perks somewhat.
Of course, there are skill perks. Once you become apprentice, you receive an unarmored shield effect. It starts low but increases exponentially with your skill level (up to 45 at skill 100). A novice can resist normal weapons with magnitude 10, and an expert with magnitude 25. Once you reach acrobatics skill 90, you can reflect damage up to 10 at skill level 100. It is rumored that raising the acrobatics skill above 100 unlocks other perks.
