I am still alive, I decided that I will keep developing the lanterns and releasing them, however they will not be enchantable without breaking them yet. I will implement the support for that after the release of the Daedric Lantern!

The Unofficial DLC that introduces breathtaking, wearable lanterns into the game that come in lore-friendly varieties for every race and major faction. This is a work-in-progress project that will remain active until it is finished.

Every lantern features 2k textures that are handmade and wrapped upon carefully, and thoughtfully constructed mesh. Lanterns have been made purchasable across many locations in Cyrodiil for easy access to many varieties, however, some must be found or can only be acquired after a certain stage of a questline.

Amulet and Tail versions exist for every lantern, the roleplay-friendly menu in the game will help you choose! Also, you only get these two hints, you must find all other lanterns released after WIPv1 yourself. The Ayleid lantern is located in the Skingrad Mage's Guild, and the Dunmer lantern is located in A Fighting Chance in the Imperial City.

Before we get onto installation, this mod requires just two mods to work:

ATTENTION:
After downloading Universal Skeleton, just open the, ControlableSkeleton, folder in the .zip file you download, drag and drop the, Data, folder into your Oblivion installation folder and overwrite all just like you will do when installing this mod.

Installation being as easy as possible was definitely a priority.

This mod and and of it's associated files contained herein are not allowed to be redistributed or distributed anywhere by anyone under any circumstances. The meshes and textures are mine. All Rights Reserved.

If you'd like to contribute, I welcome submissions of translations for the lantern names, in-game books associated with mod, and the menus associated with the mod. Just send me the translated ESP, and after examining the ESP file I'll add it to the, Downloads, tab.

Special Exception for those who'd like to use this as a modding resource:

I understand the excitement to want to incorporate the static versions of my lanterns for decoration or whatever it may be, and I would love to see the statics from my mod be used in your mod. The lanterns do not have a Light record version, you must place the Static record version of the Lanterns in the cell, and then place the respective Ambient Light from the Lights list into the lantern. This is also best practice in my opinion to properly set the lighting you need.

  • You may not redistribute my meshes/textures in your mod. Instead, you must install my mod into your game, and include my ESP file as a file required by your mod in the Construction set, then you can access the static records of my lanterns, and because you installed my mod, the meshes and textures are all ready to go you just drag and drop into the game and go about your development.
  • This means that the users of your mod must install this mod also, along with all of it's requirements, when they install your mod.

These are the only exceptions in which any assets from this mod may be used in another mod.
