Unspoilered Description: (for players who have not yet completed all Thieves Guild quests)

Some of the quest items used in the Thieves Guild quests never get removed nor set as non-quest objects, making them impossible to remove from player inventory. This plugin sets these items as non-quest objects once they have been used to complete their respective quests, so that they can then be removed and/or displayed as souvenirs. Other changes are mostly cosmetic.

Spoilered Description: (for players who have completed all Thieves Guild quests or want to know exactly what this plugin does before using it and don’t mind major Thieves Guild quest spoilers)

Some of the quest items used in the Thieves Guild quests never get removed nor set as non-quest objects, making them impossible to remove from player inventory. This plugin sets these items as non-quest objects once they have been used to complete their respective quests, so that they can then be removed and/or displayed as souvenirs. Also, it repairs the guildhall once all quests are complete.

Specifically:

1.) When the ‘Instructions: the Gray Cowl’ is shown to the Gray Fox, it now becomes a non-quest item.

2.) When the player finds the ‘Diary of Springheel Jak’, the ‘Imbel Family Crypt Key’ now becomes a non-quest item.

3.) When the ‘Arrow of Extrication’ is successfully used to open the path to the stone door, it now becomes a non-quest item, and (assuming you find again it after it bounces off the statue) can be added and removed from inventory or fired like any normal arrow. (Note: All arrows only have a 50% chance of being recovered from a corpse. Because of this, the ‘Arrow of Extrication’ might not be recovered if used as ammunition. Not recommended)

4.) When the ‘Boots of Springheel Jak’ are used to escape the Imperial Palace, they now are no longer automatically removed from inventory. They also then become a non-quest item.

5.) When the ‘Elder Scroll’ has been given to the Gray Fox, the ‘Imperial Sewer Key’ and ‘Plan for the Big Heist’ now become non-quest items.

Other changes to the Thieves Guild quest and associated locations are:

1.) When the Gray Fox breaks the curse of the gray cowl, his name now appears as ‘Corvus Umbranox’ immediately.

2.) When history is rewritten, the front of the Thieves Guild guildhall now has the boards across the front door and damage to the front of the house removed. Also, the front door now becomes functional.

3.) Inside the Thieves Guild guildhall in the upstairs bedroom, all items except those on the small coffee table are now persistent, meaning that when rearranged by the player, they no longer automatically reset to their original positions the next time the room loads. Also, the Waterfront Tax Records on the desk is now a non-quest item.

4.) Inside the Thieves Guild guildhall in the upstairs bedroom, there is now a note from Corvus Umbranox next to the bedside chest. The bedside chest now contains the stolen ‘Elder Scroll’ and the armor Corvus wore as the Gray Fox. The ‘Elder Scroll’ also now becomes a non-quest item.

**Installation Instructions**

Extract 'Thieves Guild Quest Souvenirs.esp' to your Oblivion\Data folder. Select plugin in data files at startup.

**Important Notes:**

1.) As with all mods, this plugin may conflict with other mods. Therefore, all saved games should be backed up before use.

2.) This mod can only affect the quest items of those quests a given player character has not yet completed. Players who have already completed certain or all Thieves Guild quests and wish to set quest items in their inventory to non-quest items will need to do so via the console.

First, open the console in-game by pressing the tilde (~) key. Then consult the item code below.

‘Instructions: the Gray Cowl’00014740
‘Imbel Family Crypt Key’000152FF
‘Arrow of Extrication’ 00022DB5
‘Boots of Springheel Jak’000148D4
‘Imperial Sewer Key’00027477
‘Plan for the Big Heist’ 00022DB4

To set an item to a non-quest item, type the following:

SetQuestObject (space) item code (space) 0

Then press Enter.

For example, to set the Arrow of Extrication to a non-quest item, type:

SetQuestObject 00022DB5 0

And press Enter.

Players that have already had the ‘Boots of Springheel Jak’ removed from their inventory can add them back in by typing:

player.additem 000148D4 1

And pressing Enter.

Players that didn’t find the ‘Arrow of Extrication’ after using it to open the path to the stone door and don’t wish to travel back to the Hall of Epochs to get it can add it back into their inventory by typing:

player.additem 00022DB5 1

And pressing Enter.

3.) This mod will only change the front side and door of the guildhall as the player finishes the last Thieves Guild quest. Players that have already completed the last Thieves Guild quest and wish to change the front of the guildhall will need to do so by picking up a certain book in the guildhall.

On the main level, look on top of the desk for a book titled, ‘Better Gnomes and Gargoyles’. Pick up this book and take it. The guildhall will be changed. After this, the book may be returned, stored, sold, etc.

May the Shadow hide you.
