Saber Cloth IC Vendors

Categories: Clothes, Armour, Modders Resource
Author: Myrystyr
Original Author: Noah
DESCRIPTION
This mod is an adaptation of Noah's Saber Cloth. It follows the basic pattern of my other building block mods. Three esp files are included:
SaberClothBase - This first version simply copies the original Saber Cloth, by adding aa to the start of the Editor ID. It exists primarily as a modders resource.
SaberClothArmour - This version reduces the purchase price of the clothing to 250, and adds three light armour versions. The Arena Blue Light Raiment was used as a base for the armours, which do not have the Arena Raiment script or enchantment, and are of increasing value, weight, and armour value. This also serves as a modders resource.
SaberClothICVendor - This version adds a respawning vendor chest to Jensine's Good As New shop, in the Imperial City Market District. It can be used as the basis for dynamically adding Saber Cloth and Armour to NPCs.
INSTALLATION
1 - Extract to a temporary location
2 - Copy the meshes and textures folders to your Oblivion\Data
3 - Copy the esp of your choice to your Oblivion\Data
4 - Tick SaberClothICVendor in Oblivion Launcher to purchase during play
Note that the hair from the original mod is not included. Nor is the original SaberCloth esp.
Copies of the original ReadMe files are included for reference purposes.
UNINSTALL
1 - Untick SaberClothICVendor in Oblivion Launcher
2 - Delete the NoahMod folders under meshes and textures
3 - Delete SaberClothICVendor, or whichever esp you were using.
CONFLICTS/ISSUES
None known. At worst, the vendor container might overlap with others placed in the same location by other mods you might be using. The only issues I encountered were when I merged the original mod with several other mods, directly added the clothing the inventories of NPCs changed by other mods, and messed up some of the NPCS when I tried to undo some of the changes I'd made. Rather foolish of me, I must admit. Fun, though.
CREDIT
Special thanks to Noah for the original Saber Cloth mod.

FINAL THOUGHTS
This mod, like my Recovered Legacy, is a basic building block for future work. Once I have about 20 or 30 such mods, I will start making merged versions that add NPCs, enchantments, dynamic adding of items to existing NPCs via quest scripts, and the like. In the meantime I'm curious to see what use others put this mod to.
Oh, and Adrienne Berene looked rather nice in Saber Cloth, in my earlier mucking about with the original mod.
