DESCRIPTION:

In the base game, only two factions had access to generic, respawning followers -- the Dark Brotherhood and the Mages Guild. This mod adds followers for the Fighters Guild, Thieves Guild, and Blades.

After completing the Fighters Guild questline, you may choose from a female Khajiit huntress in the Bravil guildhall, a female Redguard blademaster in the Bruma guildhall, a male Dunmer knight in the Leyawiin guildhall, and a female Orc crusader in the Skingrad guildhall; after receiving the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal, you have your pick of a male Argonian Nightblade and a female Dunmer thief, who both stick around Dareloth's house in the Imperial City Waterfront. You do not need to join the Blades to take command of any of the Blades trainees -- a male Redguard archer, a female Breton mage, a male Imperial who wields an Akaviri katana and shield, and a male Nord who uses an Akaviri dai-katana -- merely escort Martin safely to Cloud Ruler Temple.

Aside from being told to wait, the Blades and Thieves Guild followers can accompany you while sneaking. You may only take one follower from each faction at a time.

REQUIREMENTS:

A working copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

INSTALLATION:

Place the contents of the .7z file in your "Data" folder, which is usually located under Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion.

The ReadMe document is not required for the mod to run -- you may keep it or discard it.

UNINSTALLATION:

Delete the included .esp file and .bsa file.

UPDATING:

Replace all older files with newer versions. If in doubt, replace all mod files with the contents of the latest uploaded archive.

No in-game configuration is necessary.

BUGS:

As of yet, none.

COMPATIBILITY:

The new followers make use of several new markers and references for their AI packages, all added to existing cells. Mods which dramatically alter the layout Dareloth’s house (but not the Guildmaster's quarters), Cloud Ruler Temple, or the Bravil, Bruma, Leyawiin, or Skingrad Fighters Guild halls will cause problems for their routines, but should not, in theory, impair your taking them with you.

If you have my Content Restoration Project, the Thieves Guild followers will automatically have their leather armor replaced with "thief" armor, without the need for an explicit compatibility patch.
