About this mod

A two cell player abode, the first useful as a lair if you're running Mysterious Bear's Epic Necromancy mod and the second a player home with plenty of room for displaying and storing your loot.

First off this is my first attempt at a mod that doesn't involve simple tweaks or item creation for my personal use, so if anyone finds things like my use of lighting in the player living area annoying --which will probably be the case for some due to how bright I made it, cut me a little slack please.  Secondly some of you might notice the first area looks kind of like Ft. Linchal's Temple of War cell.  That's because I duplicated the cell and did some edits to make it into a usable cell for my necromancer lair because when I first decided to make this mod it was originally going to be just for me and I didn't feel like trying to make a cell completely from scratch --which I ended up doing anyway with the living area.

Alright, with that out of the way, the basics of this mod:  I made this mod because some time ago I downloaded the Epic Necromancy mod by Mysterious Bear and attempted to make a lair for myself in one of the vanilla ruins.  After building my lair and making a little flesh pod to store the flesh and bones necessary for my new profession, I went out adventuring.  When I came back some time after the 3 day respawn timer for the dungeon I found to my horror that the reset of the dungeon had cleared out my lair, everything but the altar itself and my couple of skeleton guardians.  Mysterious Bear suggested I make the cell player owned to stop that after I reported this occurrence, which I didn't at the time have any idea how to do, so I haven't used the mod much since then.  On my most recent return to Oblivion, I decided I wanted to play with the necromancy mod again and figured maybe it was about time I figure out how to use the CS to make me a lair; and here's the result.

It adds a two cell player lair/home underground near Chorrol.  Each cell has its own above ground entrance as well as being connected to one another through a door in each cell.  There are no map markers, but they're both pretty easy to find with the screen shots that are both uploaded here and packaged in the 7z file with the esp.  The first area is designed to be used as a lair if you're using Epic Bear's necromancy mod and can be ignored completely if you're not.  It has an empty room in the main area for placing things like spawning pods and coffins, and on the second floor it has an area that was supposed to be a barracks type area for the necros that wander into your lair.  Through play testing it seems they unfortunately don't have an a.i. package that allows them to use it, but hey, that's what rp is for, right.  We can just pretend they use it when we're not home.  Also it seems that if you wait too many days between visits to the lair and get too many angry mage guild paladins storming it at one time, you might have some issues with frame rate; if you just sit by the ladder for a few and let the necros and paladins duke it out, it'll be fine.  Guess I should have picked a bigger cell than the one I did.  Lesson learned.

The second area is a rather large player living area.  The large main area has a balcony with numerous display cases.  On the ground floor are a number of large stone tables useful for displaying weapons as well and a small sitting area should you have guests over to your new home.  There's a small storage room through a door off one side and opposite it on the other side of the room through another doorway is a barracks type area which might prove useful if you have any partner mods installed and need a home for your little army.  Up the stairs and off the balcony is the main living area for your character.  It comes furnished with a bed, dining area, two sitting areas placed cozily in front of each of the large fireplaces, a fully stocked bar area, some bookshelves if you feel the desire to display any books you collect through your travels, and a few more tables for displaying those prized loot pieces like any daedric relics you might win during your travels.  The bookshelves already have a few books.  I was originally --and still might if I ever get motivated to do it-- going to have the place initially locked, the key on the corpse of its previous owner in a nearby dungeon, but I couldn't motivate myself enough to try and write a journal to be placed on the corpse along with it detailing the lair's location and how the dead necro came to find the lair and be dead where you find his corpse.

Installation is simple; it's just an esp to drop into your data folder.  As for requirements, all you should need is oblivion and probably shivering isles.  I think the stone tables I used for displaying gear in the main room of the living area might come from shivering isles.  The safe storage containers all have the word "storage" in their name, including a chest in the lair cell.  Any other containers will respawn.  Any edits you might notice in my screen shots changing the textures associated with pictures, tapestries and the like, are for my personal use only, and do not come with the mod, nor should the mod require you to have them.  That should about cover everything.  If you decide to download and use this mod, feel free to leave a message about things you like or don't or how I might improve upon things if I ever decide to make another such mod; and obviously leave me a message if you experience any issues.  There shouldn't be any as the only two changes to vanilla cells are the placement of the trap doors for accessing each cell from above ground, but if there are, I'll do my best to help you out.
