Description
===========

After the Emperor's death the Dunmer army came
to Cyrodiil in order to take revenge upon the Empire and its long-lasting oppressive
government over Morrowind. The first garrison set its headquarters
in Fort Snake and is waiting for reinforcement to start the war. To find the fort just follow the road east of Bruma and then go south towards
the Imperial City. The fort is built inside the flank of the mountain.
You have to destroy this first garrison if you want to prevent the war... or you may want join it... if you have ever wanted to kick some Imperial Guard asses this might be the

mod for you ;)
As a matter of fact it will be totally up to you to stop the war or to lead the Dunmer army up to the liberation of Morrowind!

Thanks for downloading my mod and if you experience any kind of problems/glitches/bugs please report them on my forum thread
(link available on the same webpage from where you downloaded this mod).
However, since this is a still beta version I decided not to allow voting yet.

Details
=======

The new armor is only slightly better than the Daedric one. The weapons are just retextured
ebony and elven ones and they maintaned their original stats. Only the armors and swords of the
Captains and of the General are boosted up with enchantments, they were the only ones who could afford expensive armors
and swords...

ESFAN001 Edit V2: cleaned the esp file useing TESedit and added female version of the armor.

Install
=======

First of all be certain to have the latest patch to the game installed (patch 1.2.0416), then do as follows:

1. Make sure you disable my previous mod "Invasion" in case you installed it (do this in Data Files or just delete "Invasion.esp").

2. Extract ALL the contents of this archive (i.e. meshes, Textures, Sound, Battle4Morrowind.esp, Battle4Morrowind v1.0 Readme.txt) into your Oblivion's "Data" folder, then click

"yes to all".
   (when extracting with 7.zip be sure NOT to select the options "rename" or "do not overwrite")(note: as you can see below all my subfolders have unique names, so there is

absolutely
    no risk to overwrite any of your files, only the directories from my old mod "Invasion" will be overwritten).

3. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and enable "Battle4Morrowind.esp"

IMPORTANT ADVICE: This mod deals with war, and war is dangerous for your NPCs and bad for your popularity as well... so in case you intend to follow the path of war be sure you

make
a backup copy of your last saved games before starting my quest (just in case some of the non-respawnable NPCs will die and you want them back after playing with this mod).
also notice that if you'll join General Vlarys and help him in freeing Morrowind from the Empire then upon completion of the quest your bounty and infamy points will be reset to

zero,
(everything is allowed in war and love...) but still all the Imperial guards will not like you that much any longer, you will be a traitor for them.
(if you think you can survive with Imperial guards hating you that's fine, otherwise this is another good reason to have that backup).

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NON-ENGLISH LOCALIZED VERSIONS:
If you have one of the non-English localized versions of Oblivion (i.e. Italian, French, German or Spanish)
you will have to change the names of the folders placed in the directory \Data\Sound\Voice\Battle4Morrowind.esp\
If you don't do so the dialog text will slide too fast to be read.
To avoid dialogues sliding too fast you have to translate the folders in your directory \Data\Sound\Voice\Battle4Morrowind.esp\
into your local language (see below).
The folders are originally named: High Elf & Imperial
in order to be compatible with the more widely distributed English versions.
     So, for example, if you have the localized Italian version of Oblivion you have just to rename these folders
as follows: Elfo supremo & Imperiale.
I do not know the race names used in other localized versions, so in case you have one of those you should
find out by yourself. It’s pretty easy if you have installed Oblivion Mod Manager, you have just to browse the
two Oblivion–Voices BSA archives in order to find out (the names you need are listed like this: sound\voice\oblivion.esm\RACENAMEYOUNEED\etc...).
     Alternatively, if you don’t have OMM but you have the Construction Set installed you can open an esp (whichever you chose will do, just do not save)
expand the NPCs (under actors) and look for the first adventurer “AdventurerOrcBattlemage01”, double click on him, his window will open,
and then select “dialogues” (lower left in the window). A new window will open, there go to the box named “Response text”,
double click on that line of dialogue and one last window will open showing all the possible names for your races, it should not be difficult
to figure out which ones correspond to the races I used above.

Upgrade

None yet

Incompatibility
===============
None known.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
- The Dunmer soldiers you will get if you join general Vlarys have some
  problems at getting through town gates. For this and other reasons
  I provided them with a script that allows you to summon them wherever you are.
- Helmet may have clipping issues with beast races.

Tricks and tips
===============
There should be any problematic parts in this quest, but there are some things I want to make clear:
1) If you want to join general Vlarys'side when you first meet him and he asks you who you are choose "the hero of Cyrodiil, prepare to die!" and later just choose the more

polite options (there are different combinations).
2) If you will accept to join General Vlarys you will have to fight a couple of battles along the quest (one in Bruma
   and the other in the Imperial City). For obvious reasons the Fast Travel option will be disabled during these two quest stages.
   So when you realize you can't fast travel don't scream in panic thinking it's a bug, it's something I wanted, fast travel will come back when the battle has ended.
3) When you'll manage to get to Narina Carvain and Ocato they will not accept to surrender as long as there will be guards attacking you
   (the topics "surrender" will not show up until that moment).
4) If you join general Vlarys he will give you a platoon (a swordman, a bowman and an axeman) from his army. Take good care of these men, because they are not immortal and you

will need them
   in your battles, especially if your character is not very strong. There will be one spare platoon for you if you will ask for it to general Vlarys or Captain Hlaalu after all

of your men
   are dead, but no more after that. So in short, after any harsh fight let your men rest so that they can heal their wounds and tell them to repair their gears.
5) If Narina or Ocato refuse to talk to you because they are in combat mode you have just to "surrender" (activate them while parrying) to make them quit the fight, then you can

speak to them.
   In case they cannot quit the fight because they keep being attacked by your soldiers then lead your soldiers in another room and ask them to wait there, then go back to Ocato

or the Countess.
