I thought a woman samurai whould be nice to add to the collecton.
So I wondered if such samurai women have excisted really?
It showed that they actually did. Mostly wielding a naginata. But there whas a couple of famous female samurai that used the sword too. One of the most famous of them where Tomoe Gozen.

Some facts:

Tomoe Gozen.

Although we don’t know for sure if Tomoe Gozen was a real historical figure or just a character in the Heike Monogatari, this female samurai was as beautiful as she was badass, and apparently she was quite beautiful. She was a “swordswoman worth a thousand,” and helped lead the general Minamoto no Yoshihara’s armies to victory over the Heike, taking more than a few of the enemy’s heads herself.

Onna bugeisha – The Powerful Female Samurai Warrior: In the earlier periods such as the Heian and Kamakura, there were female members of the samurai class who became prominent or even present on the battlefield. They were the exception and not the rule, but this doesn’t mean that most women were powerless.
