Description
===========
This mod adds two rings that give you the power of flying with your followers.
It now adds 2 spells giving you similar powers, but only for you.
But you are not alone. Others may dispute you the Mastery in the Airs.

Location
========
One ring is in the Archmage's chambers at the Arcane University besides a
related letter. This one can be taken lawfully when you are Master Wizard or the
Archmage. It can simply be stolen at any other time.
Another ring is in Chancellor Ocato's chambers in the Imperial Palace (the last
level of the tower you visit in the Thieves Guild final quest), in a display
besides some potions.
The new spells (Journeyman and Expert Mysticism level) can be bought at Edgard's
Discount Spells store at the Imperial City Market.

Details
=======
This mod exists to address one of the common complaints about flying mods:
they feel like cheating, because they allow you to easily escape any bad
situation. It's not so simple anymore.

This mod add two rings that give the power of flight to you and all of your
followers. They will soar into the airs with you and follow you wherever you go.
It's pretty amusing to watch them follow you in the airs. Try it.

For starting the flight, you have to jump and press 'Z'. Once in the air, you
can control your flight with the directional keys. Your followers will
automatically follow you, they only need to be near you when you start flying.

The followers flight spell works even if you use other flight spells and methods
(e.g. flying mounts/Midas' Polymorph Eagle or Flying carpet). Just launch once
with Jump+'Z' and then keep the ring equipped and your followers will fly
whenever you do it.

Edgard Vautrine's spells work similarly, but your followers don't receive
the power of flight as it happens with the rings. Also YOUR PC WILL FALL to the
ground once the spells are over, so be careful how high your PC flies.

Beware: some enemies and creatures can also fly, and they will come to get you
and your followers, if they feel even slightly disadvantaged to be in the ground.

Yours, your follower's and your enemies' flights have full collision and can
happen both outdoors and indoors.

0.7 UPDATE: NPCs and Creatures with the 'Fly' flag will now fly on their own
initiative when attacking you or other NPCs/creatures. They will refrain from
launching into the air when indoors, though, leaving the flight exhibitions just
for the great outdoors. They will fly for a few seconds and return to land, unless
they find something interesting in the airs (like your Player caracter or other
flying foe).

0.7 UPDATE: your Mage class followers can also fly on their own when they start
fighting enemies. They use the same spell the enemies do, with the same 'ghostly'
effect when active. Expect for some epic aerial fights when dealing with wizard
foes or flying creatures.

Enemies that fly include:
- Imps and any creature with the 'flies' flag activated (some mods add gargoyles
and other Imp-derived monsters).
- Ghosts
- Wraiths
- Liches
- Some daedra (storm atronach and random mage dremora).
- Vampires
- Necromancers/Conjurers/Bandit Mages
- And many NPC foes that fall in the 'wizard' profile: Mysticism/Alteration/
Conjuration/Destruction > 50

And this applies to their summoned versions too, if available in-game. If you
summon a ghost in a fight, the ghost will propel itself into the air for
attacking your enemies!

Flying with the rings gradually drains your Magicka. When you run out of Magicka,
you'll fall to the ground but don't worry: the fall is cushioned by the left-overs
of the spell, so you won't be hurt by the fall. The same applies for your followers.

However, flying will suddenly stop for you AND your followers, if you unequip
the ring at any time. Falling in this way is NOT magickally cushioned at all.

4. Copy files to (install folder)OblivionData
5. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the
.esp file(s).

=========

2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

Upgrade
=======

1. Before upgrading, ensure your Player character is on the ground.
2. Save your game and Exit Oblivion.
4. Uninstall old version.
5. Load Oblivion and load the saved game.
6. Save again (create a clean save) and Exit.
7. Install new version.
8. Start Oblivion and look for the rings.

Incompatibility
===============
This mod should be compatible with pretty much everything. The only possible
exceptions are any mods that radically alter the Archmage's chambers and
Chancellor Ocato's chambers. But AFAIK, there are not many of them.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
Some times the followers may start flying in circles and not approach you
anymore, especially when you get too far from them.
For fixing this, simply get closer until the follower sees you again,
or unequip the ring (your follower can get hurt this way, though).

History
=======
0.7, 2014/04/24 - Made NPCs and creatures fly on their own volition when
attacking, fixed several issues.
0.6, 2013/03/29 - Improved follower tracking, NPC enemies are no longer
uber-powered fliers. They need to land every 60 secs or so.
0.51, 2012/08/26 - Fix for spurious ghostly effect on followers.
0.5, 2012/08/19 - Initial release.
