What this mod attempts to accomplish: Re-balance bows in such a way that marksman that do not take/use the skill “Sneak” are no longer punished with pitiful damage output.

What this mod changes: Bow damage is increased by a factor of 1.5 (50%). Ranged sneak attacks are lessened to 1x for novice, 2x for apprentice, 2.5x for Journey (maybe. I don't know if OB can handle half multipliers so these values might change.), 3x for expert, 3.5x for master (maybe).

In essence sneaky marksmen shouldn't notice much difference over regular bow damage, but marksmen that don't take/use sneak as have half a chance of actually using a bow to kill something rather then just soften it up for the nigh on inevitable sword fight.

Installation:

Unzip all .esp files into your Oblivion\Data\ and activate “Better Bow Rebalance.esp”

Activate either ONE or NONE of the Quality Arrow mods. I recommend the Quality Arrow.esp, but you should pick the one that suits your play style best. These mods are not needed to run Better Bow Rebalance, they are provided for convenience, and to enhance game play.

Quality Arrows - Gradually changes velocities based on arrow quality. Normal speed for Iron, 1.4375 speed for Daedric. Enchanted arrows have slightly faster speed to reflect their superior construction. They start at 1.0625 for Iron and end at 1.5 for Daedric.

Quality Arrows 150 - Changes ALL arrows to have a speed of 1.5

Quality Arrows 200 -Same as 150 only all arrows are 2 times faster.
