Reveals unreadable or garbled screen shot files from Bethesda games.

Beats me as to why, but on some set ups Bethesda games produce corrupt screenshots - assuming your image viewer can even open the files at all (and good luck finding one that can), you get a tilted greyscale-ish mess instead of a proper picture. It has something to do with the graphical settings used to play, but to cut to the chase: the problem simply boils down to a bad bitmap header, and the "corrupt" images can be salvaged.
If you have corrupt screenshots, extract this tool into the folder they're in and run "OSSFixer - Make JPGs" (or the PNG version, depending on the output you want). Fixed image copies are renamed according to a yyyymmddhhmmssmil format and placed in a "Screenshots" subfolder, and then the originals are deleted.
(So back 'em up first if you don't trust this tool to do its job!)
This tool also works on other Bethesda games, eg Skyrim / New Vegas / probably everything they ever have or will publish.
It requires a Java VM (which you probably already have):
