1. INFORMATION ON THE MOD
************************************************************************
This mod adds a fort ruin full of hostile mages who really hate it when
adventurers trespass in their home.

The dungeon is located west of Bruma, east of Echo Cave, and Northwest of Boreal
Stone Cave.

This dungeon may be quite a challenge, depending on what type of character you
play and what type of equipment you have. The mages in this ruin are on a non-leveled
leveled list and spawn randomly. Individuals on the list are leveled, but this does not
mean that the ones you encounter will be similar to your current level. The weaker ones
are 6 levels lower than you. The strong ones are 45 levels higher than you. There is a
full range of mages in between these extremes.

The mages all have multiple resistances. The main resistances are fire 100%,
frost 100%, shock 100%, and shield 100. Most mages will have three of these four
resistances. You will have to find what they are not resistant to and use that kind of
attack on them. There is no pattern to what kind of mage will have what kind of
resistances.

So to prepare to explore this dungeon, you will need to get a good melee weapon,
a fire spell, a frost spell, and a shock spell. This dungeon may be too hard for
warrior-type characters who are using staffs, scrolls, and enchanted weapons for their
fire, frost, and shock attacks on mages with resistances. Likewise, a pure mage character
may have trouble upon encountering an enemy who is resistant to magical attacks and can only
be hurt with weapons.

Companions and summoning spells may be useful. Your companions and summonings may
not be able to make the proper types of attacks to injure certain enemies, but they will at
least distract your foes.

Most of the mages can be hurt by damage heath or drain health spells.

The mages have some pretty powerful spells, especially the ice mages. You might
benefit from using enchanted items that reflect or absorb magical attacks or that resist
particular elemental attacks.

So if you are of a high enough level, are well equipped, and are patient, you should
be able to defeat all of the enemies in this dungeon. If things are not going well for you,
it might end up seeming like one big long series of boss battles.

The dungeon will respawn in time, and can be played again. There are hand-placed
respawning enemies as well as 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% spawn points. So a cell that you think
is cleared out might not actually be if you visit again soon.

Some of the mages that practice necromancy have retextured skeletons serving them.

Certain aspects of this dungeon are inspired by Skyrim and work to copy it. You
might enjoy seeing these things.

2. Installation
************************************************************************
Extract (decompress) the .esp, meshes, textures, and sound file to your oblivion
directory, the default is: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\
Mark the box next to the "Fort Dreftin" plugin in your mod manager.

Alternately, extract someplace else. Then move the .esp, meshes, textures, and
sound file to Oblivion\Data\.

4. Conflicts, Known Issues, and Troubleshooting
************************************************************************
This mod is designed to avoid conflict with UL Stendarr Valley and UL Snowdale.

This dungeon is so hard that some low-level characters or non-magic user characters
will not be able to deal with it.

This mod could benefit from more play-testing.

IF ANYONE DETECTS A MAJOR BUG WHICH MAKES THE MOD UNPLAYABLE,
PLEASE SEND DAVID BRASHER A PERSONAL MESSAGE ON TES NEXUS RIGHT AWAY.
HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND RELEASE AN IMPROVED
VERSION OF THIS MOD.
