This mod brings real flails and chain maces to Oblivion ES4. There are six flails included, rigged to the whip bones in Coroneras maximum compatibility skeleton. They require the NoMaam Flail Animations by Fore and OBSE 20. If you do not download and install the new animations then these flails will just be like stiff weapons, they need the animations to move like flails and chain maces. So if you are going to use these then you must have the maximum compatibility skeleton and you must have the NoMaam Flail animations

This mod finally brings real flails to Oblivion, or as real as I could make them with my limited abilities. It uses a fair bit of smoke and mirrors to pull this off, and I admit I am not much of a scripter, but there should be no major issues. A few minor issues that I hope you will find acceptable

Known Issues or Bugs
Fixed - game messages not being displayed and the annoying equipping sound of the flails being played in menu screens has been fixed in 1.1 OBSE version.

When the flail is equipped it will show zero weight, I have added the weight elsewhere to compensate for this. If you look at your encumbrance you will see that it does not change.

Because the flails are swapped in and out by script you are unlikely to see any decay in the health of the weapon.

The flails will only work properly for the player's character so should not be given to companions or other NPCs

For me personally this mod brings me full circle in Oblivion modding. In the first post I ever made on the Beth mod forums I asked if anyone could make GoGo Yubari's flail. At the time I knew nothing about modding so I really did not know what I was asking. It was explained to me by some very knowledgeable and polite modders why it was not possible to have working flails And at that time they were absolutely right. There was no alternative skeletons that we could use and new animations were practically unheard of.

Well a lot of things have changed since then as the modding community has continued to march forward. So for me to do this mod at this time, with Oblivion modding coming to an end and Skyrim just around the corner, well it feels like closure.

I would also like to say that it has been a pleasure to collaborate with fore while he made his animations, without whom this mod would not have been possible.
