=Description=

A long time ago, while engaging in Ayleid research at Valenwood, an Imperial scholar learned of stories of an elf-like race that predated even the Ayleids. After searching for many years, he learned that an artifact of this ancient race existed in Cyrodiil. He left for his expedition to retrieve it and never returned. Years later, no trace of him was ever found... until an old journal happened to come into the possession of Jensine.

As the title says, these are my tweaks to theRoadstroker's Zelda Remake and LordFrostcraig's Addon. I made these adjustments to make looking for the Master Sword a bit more interesting and "Zelda-ish". The tweaks I have made are as follows and cover both mods as they are interlinked.

I moved the Master Sword and Dark Link shield portals to an Ayleid ruin. The Dark Link shield is out in the open, but the Master Sword shield is hidden. But it should be easy to find by anyone moderately familiar with the game.

I added a journal to Jensine's "Good As New" Merchandise which contains a very abridged description of the events of the Zelda games and events I made up to fit the events leading to the story of these mods. It also tells the name of the ruin where the shield portals are, so you'll have to buy the journal first.

I replaced the Master Sword container in the grove where you find it with the one handed version of the Master Sword itself. I also enchanted it to be powerful and I scripted it so that it can only be taken by the player if his infamy is at absolute zero. If the player has any infamy points, he will not be able to take the sword. Also, if the player gains any infamy points while possessing the Master Sword, it will unequip and cannot be equipped again until the player redeems himself by either walking the Pilgrim's Way or by using the zero infamy cheat. Also, if the player drops the sword while having infamy points, he will not be able to pick it up until he does the same, so I suggest either not dropping it, or placing it in a non-respawning container. (Hey, it is the Sword of Evil's Bane after all.) I also moved the two handed version of the sword into the chest and marked it as an unenchanted replica for those, like me, who like to mount their armors and weapons onto mannequins.

I enchanted Dark Link's sword and shield making him an even more formidable opponent. I would suggest being around Level 30 and/or wearing an armor with reflective enchantments. And since I tweaked the DLEnabled verion of the AddOn, you'll be able to take them when you defeat Dark Link. I also made replicas and put them in Dark Link's chest for display purposes.

And finally, I added a zombie to the chamber where you find Dark Link's shield portal. Search it after you kill it to find a clue to the final fate of the scholar.

UPDATE: I made the Master Sword shield portal's hiding place a chamber in itself. I also added a final guardian wielding the two handed unenchanted Master Sword and another journal expanding on the lore for this mod.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I brightened the light in the new chamber and added an effect around the shield. And now that I'm getting a little better with scripts, if the player tries to pick up the Master Sword with infamy points... rather than tell him that he's unworthy, it just shocks the daylights outta him. (OUCH!)

LATEST UPDATE: I've moved the Hero's Shield portal to Dark Link's lair with a note on the ground near it. I made a heavy version of the Hylian Shield for Heavy Armor enthusiasts. Also, I proofread the journals and updated the writing a bit, fixing some grammatical errors and one HUGE literal error I made in the first journal. (I'm surprised no one saw it and pointed it out to me.)

BIGGEST UPDATE YET: I've added three weapons, Biggoron's Sword, the Megaton Hammer, and the Kokiri Sword, as well as the Pedestal of Time from Christian of CCRE's mod to this one (his permissions do seem to give permission, though he never responded to my E-mail... if he E-mails me to remove this version of the mod, then I will do so) as well as the Mirror Shield from The Wind Waker. The Mirror Shield was created by Moses (aka ~Chief-01) at deviantART, which you can find here: (http://chief-01.deviantart.com/art/Mirror-Shield-MOD-for-Oblivion-69446438). Another function I have added is now you can return the Master Sword to the pedestal should your adventurer decide to finally retire from adventuring. I've also made the switch to open the wall to the Master Sword portal not so obvious, but still close to the original position. I've removed the Heavy versions of the Hylian and Hero shields as the Mirror Shield will now serve as the Heavy Shield. I also moved the Fierce Deity shield portal to somewhere easier to find.

AND NOW!!!: I've reworked the mod for Lanceor's Knights of the Nine Revelation mod. (BTW, awesome work, Lanceor!!!) I started playing Oblivion again recently while I'm waiting for SKSE64 to come out for Skyrim Special Edition. So I made both shield portals hidden from the main ruin, and the button to the hidden chamber is now better hidden, but you should still be able to find it if you look hard enough.

=Location=

Buy the journal at Jensine's "Good As New" Merchandise. Read it, and you'll know where to go from there.

=Installation=

Pretty straightforward. Move the files to the Data folder.

=Requirements=

Shivering Isles
The latest official patch (1.2.0416).
