Monks, wizards, and Conan-style warriors rejoice! This mod adds the unarmored skill back to Oblivion!
I tried hard to make this mod integrate as well as possible into the Oblivion game. For exmple, the unarmored skill is shown as a token in your misc. items inventory where its value is the current unarmored skill. You can start using this mod at any time, and the unarmored skill starts out at you current acrobatics skill. After that, it is like a normal skill and trained whenever you are hit when not wearing a cuirass.
There are of course skill perks. Once you are an Apprentice, you recieve an unarmored defense bonus. It starts low but increases exponentially with your skill level. As an apprentice, the defense bonus is penalized when carrying more than half of your encumbrance, or when wearing a shield (-30%). These penalties are removed once you become a Novice and Expert. A Master of unarmored recieves an extra defense bonus and gets AR 55.
Ok, start your unarmored skill by picking up the Unarmored Skill token at the Imperial Prison Sewer exit and have fun,
