This video is a possible work in progress and this wing setup is not in the mod now but hopefully in the future. The female race is not yet completed. This mod is on hold until the Predator mod is completed.




Background Story
================
The Blood Demon race was originally created to be the successor to the highest ranking Dremora the "Valkynaz". Also named as "Overlord" because of their strong affinity for conjuration magic and their innate ability to fly, they were known to be personal guards to Mehrunes Dagon. In times of war they were primarily used for reconnaissance missions, sighting the weak points above the battlefield was an amazing advantage and could easily turn the tides of war.

Their lust for wealth and power could not be quenched and many became "Lordless warriors", often giving up their allegiance to Dagon. This was also spurned on by the never ending deadly feuds with the Dremora trying to re-establish their dominance over one another. Many Blood Demons escaped Dagons rule by passing through portals that allowed them some sort of safe haven on Nirn. Most were caught and banished to very non-hospitable Oblivion planes, desolate and in escapable. The few that did escape have vowed revenge on Dagon and hope someday to overthrow this tyrannical ruler.

Legend has it that high level Overlords could conjure their own Demonic minion horde at will which made many Daedra either align themselves with them or simply run in fear. It has also been said that they have been seen drinking the blood of their adversaries, which was thought to give them some form of temporary power or that this Blood Demon race actually came from a Vampiric descent. At first glance their bloodline almost suggests the crossing of Winged Twilights and Xivilai and in some forms even have the lower body of a Morphoid. One can only guess if their skin color does indeed have something to do with blood consumption.



Description
===========
This mod adds a Blood Demon race, a summonable Incubus race, and 5 custom summonable minions. One set of armor for the hoofed race, two flaming swords, and arena raiments. If using the hoofed version you are not able to use boots or greaves as the foot and lower leg slots are used already (I will release a non-hoofed version). Also any left handed rings will not be equipped because the claws take up the left ring slot. I did try putting the claws on the tail and wing skeleton but the claws would not show up in 1st person view. There is a chest in the testing hall that has a few of the swords, armor, and wigs - I did this for people that hate to search for stuff - to get to the testing hall open the console and type in coc testinghall and to get out type in coc icmarketdistrict02
The race IMO was meant to be that of a Battle Mage type that is both powerful with sword and magic.
Eight new custom spell icons for the 8 new custom spells.
There are 30 different eye textures that use the elaborate eyes eye mesh and 29 hair styles not including the vanilla hair.

Demon Armor and Shaytan sword are at the Dark Fissure inside the Necromancer Altar in front of the cave entrance.

For hooved lower bodies demonized Arena raiments are in the bloodworks area which will allow you to fight in the arena.

Flying
======
The Blood Demons can use wings to fly (thanks to the script created by Saltare and proposed by qwertymaster) This will require OBSE v0018 or up. The keys for flying are as follow:
W: Forward
S: Back
A: Strafe Left
D: Strafe Right
Pg Up: Increase Flight Speed
Pd Dn: Decrease Flight Speed
, : Start flying
. : Stop flying



Summoning your Minions
=====================
You start the game with a total of 8 spells. Only 4 can be used at level one but as you progress with conjuration you will eventually be able to use them all. The total number of minions that can be summoned is based on your current Conjuration level. Summoning spell durations have been tripled for all of the spells, also summoned creatures ignore friendly fire in combat but outside of combat if you strike them they will strike back.

5 Minion Summon spells - Stygian - Novice, Morphoid - Apprentice, Durzog - Journeyman, Devil - Expert, and Incubus - Master

In addition to these there are 3 minion control spells:

1. Banish Summons
Kills any and all of your summons and resets. Good for wiping out your army if they're in the way or resetting the plugin if problems arise.

2. Punish Summons
Kills any and all of your summons that are attacking you. If it's your summon and it is currently attacking your character it will be instantly killed. If the summons went hostile but is attacking someone else it will not be affected.

3. Call Summon
Calls all of your summons to your current position. Useful when summons are taking too long of a route or you need to pull them someplace they could not otherwise get to. This spell will only work once a second, if you manage to cast it twice in one second then the second cast will do nothing.

If summoning the new minion gives you more summons than you are allowed to have the oldest summon will be removed. The number of summons you can have is dependent on your Conjuration level:

Novice: Two minions.
Apprentice: Three minions.
Journeyman: Four minions.
Expert: Five minions.
Master: Five minions.

So for example if you have enough magika you will be able to summon more than one of each kind or even different kinds of creatures as many times as you hit cast but never more than five when you are at Expert and Master.

Another example, if you are a Journeyman of Conjuration you can have a total of four minions. This means any four minions (other than Devil and Succubus), whether it be 3 Durzogs and a single Stygian, or a Morphoid a Stygian and two Durzogs - they are interchangeable.

If you want to change the summoned cap level this can be done.
The caps at various levels of Conjuration can be set through the console.

Instructions:
1. Open up the console with the ~ key.
2. Type "Set KBSummons.<conjurationlevel>Max To #&gt;" where ConjurationLevel is one of Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert or Master and # is an integral number for the cap you want.<br> 3. Repeat for any levels you want to change.<br><br>So if you want to make a Master of Conjuration be able to summon 10 creatures instead of 5 you would type "Set KBSummons.MasterMax To 10" in the console in the game. To fix this just reload your save game. There should not be any problems - if you do encounter any you could try and open the console and type in startquest dacustomspellicons<br><br>Sometimes at the start of a new game the claws may not appear so if that happens save your game first, then exit out of the game completely, then reload your latest save game and you will get them back and it should be permanently.<br><br>Seems that with Robert's Version 5 beta if you play with the hooveless version the toenail claws do not line up properly with foot mesh. If it really bothers you then use Robert ver. 4 body and the issue should go away. For those using Roberts version 5 body and want to still use it then a new version of slof's toe claws will need to be fixed. I will look into it.<br><br>There might be a lot of clipping issues with this race because of the wings so you may want to choose different hairstyles and armor if the clipping really bothers you.<br><br>Animation Delay: When you initiate flight, the animation of the wings takes some time to begin. This is due to the engine and the way it register the player state. The more powerful your computer is, the less delay you have.<br><br>The Demon Hair wig (slof's Xivilai wig - also this part written by Slof) is a very high-poly mesh and may cause a slight performance hit on some machines. I wouldn't recommend using this on too many companions or mannequins in any one place. It's designed mainly for the player's use to have fun with. On low-end machines, it's better to remove the wig while in busy areas, otherwise the game might crash. The Braided Hairstyle is also a very, very high poly mesh so you may wish not to use.<br><br><br><br>Known Incompatibilities<br>=======================<br>Animations mods:<br> <br>All the animation files included in this mod are necessary to have the wings working properly. If you change any of them you will have the wings not animating or not resetting properly after an animation. <br><br><br><br><br>FAQ:<br>===============<br>Q: When I create the Demon, the game starts but no one comes to see me in the prison. What is wrong?<br>A: Read the Mod Requirements just a few paragraphs above.<br><br>Q: I can't Fly. This will remove the lower hooved body and this will alow for much more compatablity with armors. Also added slof's toenails. Just overwrite to install this file properly. ESP id fixed so make sure to overwrite as all other files.<br><br>1.2, 7/24/2010 - The mod now has all of the proper Breeze animations for the wings to function properly. Fixed the Demon Headgear so that there is no clipping in 1st person as now it works in the amulet slot. Added script so that spells and body parts are only added to the Blood Demon race.
