Description:

This is a modders resource that allows the player to add armor to their Akatosh dragon mount, created by SaidenStorm. These armors are the same pieces that the player and NPCs wear only resized to fit dragons. They all use vanilla textures which means that any texture replacers you use will change their appearance or they can be pointed to any vanilla replacement texture in an alternate directory to change their look. You'll notice in the screenshots that I use a dark glass replacer for example. Not everything is perfect yet, there is still a bit of work to be done to reduce clipping, mainly around the wing area. Some meshes will be modified and optimized in later releases. For now, everything works and looks pretty good, at least to my eye. More armors may be created in the future according to demand.

Requirements:

Akatosh mount is required in order to use these, as well as a basic understanding of Nifskope.

Installation:

In this zip file are 5 armor meshes: Daedric, dwarven, Elven, Glass, and Steel. Open the mesh in nifskope. Now open the mesh for the dragon you want to place the armor on in another instance of nifskope. (For instance, Akatosh CW MH Black.nif is the black dragon that shows up in game) In the nifscope window with the armor, right click on the pieces of armor, and under Block left click Copy Branch. In the window with the Akatosh, right click Scene Root, then Block>Paste Branch. Do this
for all the pieces, or mix and match from different sets. Save the Akatosh mesh and enjoy. To change armor later, simply right click, Block, Remove Branch. Simple.

Credits/Thanks:

To SaidenStorm for the dragon that inspired these armors.
