About this mod

This is a small book outlining rules for a religious order for anyone who would like to roleplay a religious character. I have also added a few supporting files for your enjoyment.

Permissions and credits
The Order of Mara is a religious order I designed for religious, non violent, roleplay. This file is simply a book containing these rules. The way I play it, upon each "promotion" my character moves to a different location. Obviously magish skills like alchemy, hand to hand, and non-agressive magical skills are appropriate. I normally play this with speechcraft as well, to while away the hours in the priory/chapel, etc. Note: The Rules, the Glosses, and the robes are all on the end of the Bridge near Weye.

I just today (27 Feb 2010) added a new optional book by my character Bishop Aethric. The book is also on the road near Weye. See the discussion for a topic related to it, and a "virtual" "Council of Eru." Thanks.

I also just added another small optional file, Friar Edward of Hackdirt, which includes two small esps. One adds Friar Edward. He is standing near the chapel in Hackdirt. He doesn't do much, but does have a staff and may make a visit to Hackdirt less dangerous! The "order" file adds an Order Appointing Edward as Friar of Hackdirt. It is small and hard to see, but on the side of the road near the y junction off the main Chorrol gate.

Installation as usual, these are small zip files, just unzip and add to oblivion data files as usual.

For the complete effect I recommend the following additional mods:

1.Kyoma's Journal Mod to record your characters thoughts about promotion, etc.
2. Chapel Tithe.
3. Distant Chapel Bells.
4. Chapel Sanctuary (an easy place to live).
5. Monastery of Eru.
6. Calair Castle (for the chapel).
7. Imperial Priory.
8. Rumare Priory.
9. Monastery.
10. Mage's Quill of Scrollmaking.

Obviously, this whole "Order of Mara" is a pet project of mine and I will tinker with it from time to time. I hope you like it as well. If any good builders out there would like to mod a Headquarters Archbishopric for the order, say modelled after Weynon, be my guest.
