About this mod

This mod adds a medium length quest to get a controllable dog companion, also includes new armours, new area-effect spells (three of them!) and a small settlement. Also there is a lite version (Dog companion can be got without doing any quests).

Description:
This mod adds a medium length two-part quest to get a dog companion and new spells (dog companion is rewarded after first part). There is a new settlement visited in the course of the quest where you can get 2 new types of armour (re-textured mithril and dwarven armours) and meet some new NPCs. There are boss battles at the end of each part of the quest. After the end of the second part of the quest the player is rewarded with a set of 3 area-effect destruction spells!

To start the full quest you must be the hero of Kvatch.
I reccomend the player to be level 12 and up to start this quest (or level 8 and up if you have more powerful weapons than vanilla).

In the lite version, there is no quest, no new settlement, no new armour and no new spells, only the dog companion is included.

Dog_Mod_Full_NORM: This is the full version with quest, armours, settlement and spells, in the standard file structure.

Dog_Mod_Full_BSA: This is the full version with quest, armours, settlement and spells, in the .BSA file structure.

Dog_Mod_Lite: This is the lite version with only the dog companion available.

Installation:
Dog_Mod_Full_NORM: Extract the .rar file, copy and paste it to your oblivion/Data folder, when asked if you want to merge folders select "Yes to all".

Dog_Mod_Full_BSA: Extract the .rar file, copy and paste the plugin file and the .Bsa file to your oblivion/Data folder.

Dog_Mod_Lite: Simply extract the .rar file and copy it to your oblivion/Data folder.

Requirements:
Needed: Oblivion patched to the latest version.

Recommend: A mod that lengthens the time that subtitle text is on-screen (as this mod is not voice-acted and sometimes the text goes too quickly).

Issues:
As far I know, it doesn't conflict with any mods, if you have a problem please leave a comment.

This is the first time I've tried a .bsa file format, so it may not work, if it doesn't, delete it and get the 'normal' version.

Please Note:
The spells that come with the full version of this mod are area-effect, so if you're standing too close to one of your enemies you may get hurt.

The area-effect spells only work on NPCs and creatures who are in combat with the player, otherwise you risk killing innocent people.
