This is a great mod! I've been struggling though to find chests in Skingrad. There is an obvious one I found though and could just paintbrush drop a bridge up to it but that would take the fun out of it. I have very high acro but can't seem to figure out how to get on the rooftops or city walls if that's at all possible.
For those who don't like to read the cheat guide in the zip...my advice is if you're having difficulty just start with the Bruma city chests. They seem to be really easy to find and made for beginners or low acrobatics. Also make SURE you look for a key on top of the A rank chests you find in the wilderness. I've found 2 so far and they're needed to access a temple apparently. There are only 5 keys. I didn't even realize this until I had found one of the keys, so I then glanced in the cheat guide to figure out what the key was for. Had to try and remember where the other A rank chest I had found was and sure enough a key was on top of it as well.
Would be great if someone had or made a youtube video of them collecting all the chests in the towns. Just to show how it is possible to reach them all.
Loot isn't overpowered or cheating & it is very fun to finally be able to parkour around the towns & get rewarded for it. Endorsed.
When I stumbled upon this, I got the "Ooh! Must have" feeling. Unfortunately I use open cities reborn, I can only hope it gets ported some day. (I would do it myself, but I have no prior experience in using the CS, and it would also spoil the locations for me! ) Fun small challenges/secrets like this is amazing, and by judging the screenshots, I'd have a lot of fun trying to explore various towns.
@TrueOrigin I would assume not as it was designed for the vanilla cities. @Ronnie92 Again, I would assume, that for this instance it would work fine. Hell, you may have already tried it so you'd know better than me.
I am a totally awesome acrobat in Oblivion. I can get just about anywhere with only 25 acrobatics. I actually scaled most of the mountains to their peaks. This is just another way for me to practise jumping in oblivion. ty
Glad you liked it. I was thinking of doing some kind of acrobatic realm earlier posibly in the mountainside temple but hadn't quite found a way to do it properly.
Was looking for a roof retexture and found this... this looks like fun!
I think ... what the poster meant about "dirty" mods,.. and definitely correct me if I am wrong, but if you happen to "move" something in the master file that is oblivion, and then "move it back" it can create a very small dissonance from what the original file referenced?
But please note I am an idiot and do not know anything.
Definitely going to enjoy this mod, great idea.... Everytime I talk to modders about "new lands" or new dungeons, I always tell them "Make a really crazy dungeon where I have to jump and navigate!"
and they always say "Yah!! that's cool!"
and I have never seen a single mod that specifically focuses on acrobatics except this. Also the thief one is pretty sweet.
Always on the lookout, so if anyone knows of a good acrobatic mod besides this, let me know!
Great idea i love Acrobatics as does my wife, with vanilla oblivion my wife and i used to run everywhere, acrobatics was a skill that we always tried to increase as it helps get up some pretty tricky hills and if you fell well it didnt hurt as much.
We have just really started playing with mods and this is one that we will enjoy. It is nice to see that we can use one of our favourite skills to get bonus chests.
